Google Nexus S for example is 10.88 mm thin and HTC Desire HD is 11.8 mm. So yes, Optimus 2X is really thin. For more info, please check out PhoneArena. I dunno know how many RAM the phone has, and LG hasn't confirmed that either. My hypotetical guess is 1GB RAM because it's a Tegra 2-phone, and every Tegra 2-phone so far has 1GB RAM. But maybe I'm wrong. We'll see soon...

At least 512MB of RAM. This thing ran 2400+ on quadrant stock! 1GB would make more sense though.

Not necessarily. They haven't mentioned it because they haven't mentioned the carrier yet....which a lot of people are saying it's T-Mobile. I've read the same thing to.....

But once it's released to what may be T-Mobile.....it'll definitely have 4G on it. 4G is a big thing these days, LG and T-Mobile knows that....

Plus Noah did a review for it and said the phone they brought to CES isn't the final version....some additions and modifications will be made. Like at CES it was running 2.2 not 2.3

it is LG Mobiles ( something like that ) and in that you can see two photos one is for black and one is for 2X. Just click on 2X and you can see LG comments there.. I asked this question and they replied.

Every Tegra 2 phone doesnt have 1GB of Ram, the Bionic has 512 too.

Memory is so cheap, so why not stick 1GB in these phones!

Of course, I wouldn't talk that long on the phone each day. But the talk time is kind of measure of phone's battery performance. 5 hours of talk time on spec is pretty short side compared to others. So I'm asking where is the source of this info.

I found this 5hr source on the web, but it looks way short of being authoritative IMO.

Its only a few sites I trust when they do talk time tests. Phonearena and Anandtech.

Check those 2 sites out when the phone comes out.

Thanks. That's more in line with others. If I remember correctly, Droid X has 9 hours and Droid 2 has about 8 hours of talk time.
But like jroc said, I would like official spec confirmation from LG and evaluations from phonearena.com or anandtech.com.

Everyone is complaining how this phone only has 512mb of RAM but from what I've seen its DDR2 (I could be mistaken) and the other phones are using DDR. Wouldn't that be just as good as adding more memory? Obviously when you have a ton of apps using the memory and you start to run low then having 1GB would be much better. But for average use wouldnt 512MB DDR2 be faster than 1GB DDR?

i don't think that DDR2 scales to twice the speed as DDR, its probably the same as with Dual Channel Memory, SLI, Crossfire and the like.

I read anandtechs review today, and one thing got me really thinking about this phone.

It seems, that 128 MB of the RAM are permanently allocated to the GPU inside Tegra 2 and thus, not available to the user / the OS for apps. 384MB of RAM sounds low, even to me.

on the other hand, I read that having a full RAM is no big deal on android, as android has built in mechanisms to kill cached apps, that have not been used recently, if their RAM space is needed. So, having many apps cached in your RAM serves the snappy-ness of the applications.

I remember reading either one or all of the Galaxy S phones had the same thing done too with the Ram.

After applying the lag fixes due to other reasons, most ppl say the Galaxy S phones are very smooth. The UI is smooth. Is the 128 going to the gpu helping with the UI? Maybe HTC phones do this with Sense UI, and thats why its considered on of the best UI's on Android.
