I'm trying out GummyJAR 2.5 and I decided to port the BWC theme since I like it so much :D

I've been running this theme since last night and I haven't had any issues.

If you guys have any issues, PLEASE report them so I can try to fix them.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

BlackWhiteChrome folder installed on SD Card has:

- Dock backgrounds for LauncherPro and some wallpapers
- Stock LauncherPro (with correct menu icons)
- Custom clear LauncherPro (with correct menu icons)
- Modified Pandora apk with chrome trim
- A folder called "Addon" that contains Stock Moto Camera

(If you currently have LauncherPro installed, uninstall it before attempting to install either of the LauncherPro's provided in the BlackWhiteChrome folder on the SD Card).

What are your thoughts on GummyJAR? I love this theme as well and didn't want to switch because of it (Fission is fast as hell, and i overclocked to 1.2 so now it's blazing). Just wondering since both you and faber seemed to be pretty much fission loyalists.

I've been with fission since the get go and switched to GJ a few days ago. TBH I can't really tell a difference. I would say they are about equal in speed. Fission has the advantage with FRM though. I'm staying with GJ though because I like the linear theme a lot.

I've only been running GummyJAR for two days now and I actually like it quite a bit, I guess because it's so similar to Fission. I don't overclock, but GummyJAR seems a little bit faster and smoother to me; of course I haven't tried Fission 2.5.5 yet.

Fission also has FRM which is pretty useful with all the extras it supplies.

You should just make a nandroid and try it out for yourself :D

Stupid question, can you show me how to install the dock background and icons? I have launcher pro, and must admit, I'm quite a noob at all of this.

I also want to say your theme rocks! I'm so geeked out by this.

Edit: Can i create a folder using Astro, like I would to change the launch icon's and then use preferences in the menu for launcher pro to change?

Edit#2: Nevermind, i figured it out. Thanks again!

I really love this theme. It is clean and really slick.

A fewcomments:

The DX in the network is cool, but there needs to be a D2 version.

For some reason, Swype stops working. I downloaded the.zip and reinstalled Swype by itself and all is good.

In Google Voice, the color of the text in the "to" field is visible when typing a name, but is hard to read once I switch down to the box to enter my txt message. See screen grabs in next post.

I didn't port this for the D2, I ported it for the DX, that's why it says DX for network.

I've never had problems with swype using this theme.

I'll look into the Google Voice issue.....I don't really use Google Voice, so I probably would have never caught that ;)

not sure, but that is probably a generically used .9 png; meaning that it is used all over....if you were to adjust it for this one problem it would effect it in every other aspect it gets used in in the theme.

i wouldnt fight with it over this one thing if its working ok everywhere else....id right it off as a known issue.

unless it is causing problems elsewhere.

just my thoughts....

I've got to agree with you on this one faber. There weren't any pics when I was first replying to the message, but now that I see the pics, I believe you are right.

I will still look into it, but I wouldn't get my hopes up jwilensky.

No problem.

I will upload a link in a little bit for those who want those changes.

I had a D1 and was hesitant to make mods to my D2. Your theme made me want to tinker with my new phone, so thanks for the inspiration.

That said, would it be difficult to post this version without changing the carrier or post one of each? I am completely fine with it saying DX, but thought that it wouldn't hurt to ask. :-D

I will post this one here for the DX owners, and I will pm you a link to one that says D2, or it can say Verizon Wireless, just let me know.....or I can have it say something else you prefer (16 characters max, spaces do count as characters)
