xScope, a multitouch pinch zoom browser

I almost finished user interface for configurations that the browser is lacking right now. I will take a look at this.
As for the double tap issues, I noticed that if I open the "draw!" program which converts inputs to virtual ink, it's inconsistent as to how and when it registers those inputs.

So I think, in my case, it might be more a function of the OS or the hardware than settings. But maybe I'm wrong.

hmmm, I just on my droid. If the xScope is not showing, the droid screen goes off after 15 seconds (my default screen time out ).
Could you do me a favor to test it again? Thanks.
I am currently working on several issues including:
1. fix progress bar problem
2. a context menu (if you click on a phone# or email, it gives you option to activate those applications)
3. home page design
4. how to set as default?
...
When I activated the "Always On" mode, it applied to my entire phone, not just when I was in the browser. I exited and the screen stayed on.

I even unchecked that setting and my screen still was always on. I had to go back into system settings and change the time-out back on.

Everything else going great so far.

That's weird, mine does not do that. It works exactly as its supposed to. I have my timeout set to 15 seconds and when I am not in xscope it goes black after 15 seconds.

Firstly, the set as default option is overrated.

I love how insanely fast this browser is for starters. A couple questions. How do you just type in a url and go there...it seems to only be able to search. I type in a url and it goes to google search.

Can you change the home screen?

Love the pin zoom, def a cool feature pinch has always annoyed me since its always touch to get it just right. I wish the double tap zoom was a little more accurate like iphone tho.

Overall this is a GREAT browser. Refine it some more and it will be the top browser on android.

gentlefury,

It is related to a URL parser. The future update will make the user having more and more control over it, such as home page.

Thank you for your support.

I really like xscope, pin zoom is cool, and simple straight forward pages are great. Like the reason so many people like Google- it's not over burdened with too much fluff.

Any chance of getting Google Bookmarks to sync with xscope?
Now that I'm getting comfortable with my Droid, I'm making full use of all of my Google apps- gmail, docs, calendar, etc. It would be great to be able to easily access my google bookmarks as well.

(Perhaps there's a way to link to my g-bookmarks already as a webpage, someone could tell me if there is.)

Try Google Mobile
that is the page my phone is bookmarked to, i click on icon and goes directly to application. Not sure if this is specific to my account but let me know and i will retrace my steps and edit post. This is of course from the phone and not sure if you have to be signed in to google account.

That is a good page to have, but that doesn't have my Google Bookmarks available there.
I usually access them from Google Toolbar in Firefox or in IE, so there probably needs to be some way to sync them into a browser. I think Dolphin was supposed to be able do that but I'm not sure. So far, I like everything else I see in X-scope.
