Trying a Pulse with my Virgin SIM. Works fine (Network still says T-Mobile UK). Fine for calls and SMS and browsing however I cannot sign into my Google account so no GMail or Android App Store.

When I try my Google login I just get "The username & password do not match".. but I can log in on my PC with them OK.

Any ideas?
I'm stumped. :(

T-mobile and Virgin share a network.. so thats why your T-mobile SIM will work in your pulse. However they route their data differently. So you'll need to have your APN settings set up for Virgin instead of the default T-mobile settings.

As a workaround you should be able to get into your google account via a wifi connection... till you can get the virgin details into your phone

Cheers but I've figured out what was wrong. I already had the VIrgin APN settings in.

The problem was something to do with the keyboard being set to 'multi-language'. I set it to English only and logins now work OK. Very odd.

One question though..
The network on the home screen says "T-Mobile UK" instead of "Virgin"
Any way to change that? In my old (non-3G) phones it says "Virgin"
