Updates Include:

-Added support for Android 2.2 (Froyo)

And please keep those suggestions coming guys!

Is there a way to edit the account balance. Sometimes I get behind in inputting my transactions and I just need to edit my total account balance w/o putting in the transactions. How do I do this?

Thanks!

any way to add a feature to make some transfer transactions into expenses.
e.g.

I pay my credit card with my chequeing account, so i i have a transfer transaction from the chequeing into credit card, however the transaction doesn't show up when i do reports of expenses, so i can't figure out how much i'm spending on my credit card etc

also, i would also like a feature to edit account balance and perhaps log that balance was changed on so and so date, because somet imes i fall behind in adding transactions.

otherwise awesome app

I have purchased Easymoney but have now decided to switch to Financisto Financisto - Android app on AppBrain for the following reasons:

1. Ability to select account to show in total balance
2. Faster and more useful updates
3. Ability to export all transactions as a single csv
4. Easy to use budgeting feature
5. Nice organisation of categories (Easy Money is horrible as the category list doesn't show parent)
6. Can add credit card icons in account list
7. Ability to set credit card limits and have it shown in the account list
6. It's free

Having said this Easymoney is better in the following ways:

1. Much prettier interface
2. Automatic backups
3. Ability to link photos to transaction
4. Easier to enter amount. With Financisto you enter dollar then cents separately

One of the reasons I bought Easymoney was due to their engagement with users on this forum, but this has tapered down siginificantly lately. I personally have found that updates to the program have become less useful and more infrequent.

If only I could get a refund, especially given the relatively high cost for the program.

Cheers

I love the app! I love the widget which shows me my spending balance!!

In our home, we used two WM phones to sync SpbMoney to MSMoney, which I could then check against the bank statements to clear and update.

That's what I need on the Droid: A way to sync either to PC or online, in the cloud. If what I'm spending could update to a file in the cloud, and like a "friendstream" it would update my balance in a widget on the Droid, we could both use this app to take care of our check register needs.

Thank you!

I use this app on a regular basis and absolutely love it. I just have 2 questions:

1) How do I delete reoccuring bills? Say I've paid off a bill and can now delete it for good? I can't seem to figure out how to delete this for good.

2) How do I delete an automatic draft? Like a gym payment that's set to be withdrawn on the 23rd of each month?

I realize that these are very similar questions, but I also realize that there might be two different way to go about doing these two things.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Easymoney is nice and all, but I've started to root my phone and you only get two activations/installs after purchasing it. Kinda sucks...I'll be looking for a free option here soon.....

I'm rooted and have installed a custom rom 3 times now. No issues at all. You get a code emailed to you when you purchase. Just put that info in when you reinstall from the market. No issues there.

I will read through this thread later, but I just want to add that i'm happy I found a finance app that let's me manage the few simple things I have exactly how I want, finally. And easily, at that. Will pay for full as soon as I have some dollars to spare, and judging by my budget i've created, that wont be until next week! Hah.

I want to lend my voice to the people requesting support for special accounts like credit cards or loans. There's an increasing number of financial apps on the market place that support these types of accounts and frankly EasyMoney is starting to fall behind in some regards.

I've found it frustrating that my credit card information is being treated like a checking account with no incite on my credit limits or estimations on my APR payments for the month. Those kind of additions would really improve EasyMoney.

Following up on previous posts concerning online bank account synchronization; has any progress been made? I just download the free trial and it seems like it has real potential. Though I attempted to import a csv file exported from my banks online banking site, it was a no go. Their columns are in a different order.

Any work arounds available in the mean time that dont involve rewriting the csv file?

II have been using this application and few weeks now and I'm stuck on a couple of things. AnyAnything input would be great.
1) reconciliation is non existing. Wish I could just enter a dollar amount and clear transactions to equal bank account.
2) wish repeat transactions could just have a one click reminder. Don't like having two separate things to track.
3) future looking reports were easier to make happen.
4) hiding the reconciled transactions, I like having the ability to search old transactions.

Again I'm learning new feature daily, but any input would be great!

I have purchased/used this app for many months and LOVE IT! However..

/panic ON
EasyMoney updated this morning.
All my data is gone.
It says I need to upgrade from the free trial in order to recover my data.
NOOOOO!!!!!

Any ideas on what to do? I've submitted a request to the support team, but patience has never been a strong point for me..

I take it you have done the normal stuff like:-
1. Re-booting your phone to clear out any erratic behavior.
2. Un-installed, followed by reboot then re-installed the App.

Make sure you keep any backup files well away from the App folder or where it is normally being backed up to, just in case that data gets deleted.
I always make copies of my backup files and place them on my SD Card & PC.

I have been looking into several finance and budget apps, and EasyMoney is the one I am leaning towards, even though it is the only one that I am looking at that costs money.

What would seal the deal for me is if I can import quicken .csv files. When I tried to import a .csv file, using the option under database tools, it force closes. Is this not what the function is for? If so, what do I need to do so it will not force close? If I can easily import and export .csv files then the app will do EVERYTHING that I need it to do.

I'm sorry, that would be the .qif files
I had a lot of issues importing and in the end gave up.

Have you tried PocketMoney?
It has a good Import feature.
The only issue is it's not free.
However, if you have your .qif file ready to import as soon as you have it installed you could test it it out before the 15 minute Market rule.

Regardless, have a look at the App.

great app, u make a good job...

but the program has some defect:
- need a widget to add transaction (without showing the balance of the account)
- need to fix the .qif import (import full quicken database with more accounts)
- transfer between accounts having different currency (for example: by giving a transfer rate by the user)

i hope the next version will solve these issues and finally i can change from winmo to android :)

@beards: pocketmoney is not a bad app but the reports are lame and can not handle multiple currencies.
