So is it crazy that a part of me wants the Inspire over the Atrix??
I like the look of the phone better, I like the Sense UI and what the sense UI 2.0 brings with it. The more I see review videos of the Desire HD which is the same phone the more I think it might be enough. UGGGH im getting confused what do you cats think?

I mean being as busy as i am I use my phone for internet, widgets, and sms/social networking as much as i love the idea of the tech in the ATrix I don't know if it outweighs the new Sense UI features for everyday usability. Any input would be greatly appreciatted

That was my issue. I still get tempted by the Inspire but, knowing nothing more powerful can come out that will beat the Atrix, I plan to stay that route.

I'm with you.

To boot, I saw the hands on videos of the desktop and webtop mounting, and I was unimpressed. Not only was it fairly laggy, it just seemed... unecessary. I have a laptop that is 14", super thin, incredible battery life and still very powerful (OT: Acer Aspire TimelineX 4820TG, holy HELL was this thing an amazing value), it goes with me wherever I need it and makes the desktop a useless piece of equipment (for me, as a college student). I don't need something that is less powerful and less versatile to act as something I don't need to begin with, or try to replace something I already have, and do so poorly.

At the end of the day the exterior features of the Atrix are at a glance cool and interesting, but in reality somewhat gimmicky and unnecessary for the common power user/nerd.

That being said, the physical specs are unreal, I just don't feel that they are enough to wow me over the Inspire... at least not at this point. Come release, when I get a chance for a real hands on, things may be different. ;)

Yeah, you're crazy!

And I don't just mean because the Atrix has amazing specs...

I really, really love HTC. HTC got me into Android, I think they have done amazingly well with Sense, and I just love their phones' build quality and style... But the 1230 mAh battery in the desire HD just doesn't cut it. The screen is nice and big, so even if you're not pressing the CPU at all, every time you use this phone the battery will be draining quickly. In normal, everyday use, the phone will actually die on you before the day is over.

Then again, maybe you have no problem charging at work, and at home, and don't care about being without a cell during daytrips or whatever - and that's fine - but if you like to have your cell ready and can't count on being able to charge it at least every night and ALSO sometime during the day, then sadly it isn't for you.

I know... :( It's an incredibly cool, super sexy phone; I almost ordered a desire HD from the UK, even though I have AT&T and would only get access to the edge bands.

its a def. but if you check out the HTC Desire forum on here not that many battery complaints same with the EVO

Desire or Desire HD? Two different phones, make sure you don't mix them up! Also, according to engadget's review of the desire hd, the battery compartment would not allow for expanded batteries? Not sure why, but seriously go read engadget's review of the desire HD before you buy an inspire.

... not that we could buy one if we even wanted to! Give us some release dates!!

Think about it though man, you have a Nexus S. That phone has a 1500 mAh battery. The screen on the nexus S is SMALLER... and the screen tech (samoled) uses less power than the desire HD's. How will a 1230 battery ever make it through the day?

I'm not a hater - I love HTC, like I said - but 1230 for a screen of that size just isn't going to last.

meant HD lol I fixed it I get easily 12 -14 hours with moderate to heavy use on my Nexus S and from what im reading on the HTC Desire HD the majority make it about 12 hours so if I have to charge every night im good I do that now.

Im still gonna buy which ever comes out first and test them out then go from there. honestly if this Nexus had AT&T 3G i wouldnt even be looking
