theyve always been way ahead of their opposition in terms of smartphone
they were pretty much the biggest windows mobile intergrated device developer in the world for about 7 years
theyve had touch technology all that time but were overshadowed when Iphone came out as an inovative fashion item with ltd functionality (couldnt receive or send mms and could only reply to txt at launch of ios)

where HTC lacked were the design, they were butt ugly for years and they didnt push for consumer.
it changed with the diamond

Hell I even found my self cheering Team HTC at the Tour De France last year.

It's sad when you see Apple made 30 times the profits. A company that is known to go for design over function, that charges an arm and a leg, that locks down control on the market and stifles competition, a company that bullies and sues other companies when they become a threat, etc. ... and to top it all off, their hardware is overpriced, overmarketed, overrated and does less than half what stuff half the price does.
