HI all, just made the jump from Iphone 3GS to HTC Desire HD and dont regret it for a minute.

I have searched the forums and seen this question asked several times but never answered.

I am looking to delete my internet history, I have deleted through the settings tab on the browser itself ( cache, history the lot ) I have tried through manage applications and also tried downlolading History Eraser.

None of the above seems to delete the history, you can still go into Internet and press back and look at everything?

I would appreciate any help anyone can offer.

If you use Dolphin Browser HD, when you select 'exit' from the menu, there is a 'clear history' option in the popup that opens.

Even easier, if you download Dolphin Browser HD from the market, go to settings / options and untick save history. Then it saves nothing... ever :)

Happy ...................................................................... Browsing ;)

True, although had forgotten about this. That said, I like to save the history for the ...most... part, so prefer tp be prompted.

I have always pressed the back button until the browser exits, (it eventually takes me back to the homepage and out to main screen) ok, if surfing for a while it takes a bit of time but I have never had the history issue, when i log back into the browser it just opens at my homepage. :)

Press Menu whilst on the internet page, click on Windows, hit the plus + symbol to open new window, clear your internet history (by pressing Menu , select history, then clear history or u could go into settings and scroll down to clear history , cache etc).
Then press menu, click on Windows scroll to the left to the first internet window and click X to close window. Select current window, press back button to exit.
