on my phone i have 10N installed

I had immediately updated to v10C when I got my phone about a month ago. I have had no problems or issues with phone or SD card since then.

Hopefully in a few weeks LG will upgrade all of us to 2.3, so not too worried about v10E.

i have upgraded to V10c abt 4days back, fortunately hvnt got the auto sd card unmount prob "yet". There are 2 extra apps 1. App installer (no idea what it does) and 2. Games.

Only porb i found is when the UI auto rotates to landscape mode (or in a game etc which is in landscape view) the Volume up/down pattern doesnt change i.e. its still Vol up key to increase and Vol down key to decrease the volume.

Does anyonelse who did the upgrade find this difference?

The app installer searches the memory card for apps (or the ones provided by LG) and lets you install / uninstall them. I have not tried the 'Games'.

Sandeep the Games app is to download games provided by ur serive provider.
Though, When i go to the app installer its just a blank screen no options or anything, how do i use it? can we uninstall the built in apps that lg provided with the phone?

Have you changed the SD card? The app searches for the app files on the SD card and then gives you the list with options to install / uninstall.

Some of the built-in apps can be uninstalled, some cannot. All can provided you are willing to root the phone. But AFAIK, v10c/e removed the ability for common rooting programs.

Everything works fine for me, so I have not bothered further.

Everything works fine for me, so I have not bothered further.

i changed my SD from the default 2gb to a 4gb one but i transfered all the files to the 4gb one so i can use all the preloaded apps. Maybe it dint install properly while updating...
But otherwise its fine...my phone hasn't restarted till date after updating, and im also not quite interested in rooting the phone yet.

The SD Card unmounting is corrected with the v10c update.

ok just out of curiosity.. i have the optimus one with v10a and the update manager says no further updates available.. but here i see 10e.. so just wondering which is the latest.. a or e?? i tried google for firmware version history but couldn't find one..

E will be latest. If you cannot see it for your phone, then your region hasn't yet been updated with that firmware upgrade.

Now update Update V10E_00 is available for Indian phones.

Hmmm... just recently it allowed me to update to v10D, will have to check for E now

The update to V10E is available from I think 28th mar. I updated 4 days ago. There was no effect on the apps and data so I presume this was only a small maintenance update. I find that phone is working smoother particularly the screen inputs etc. Rest don't see any change yet. General feeling is of smoother phone with less lag.

Maybe I will wait a while then. The v10D did make things quite a bit better.
