southern cali,
Hi, currently running mikfroyo 4.5.5beta, kernal:4.3.1-cfs-nohavs-sbc, pri-1.90
everything seems to be running smooth i just have little battery chomping going on, i noticed in spare parts, partial wake something is accessing my calander which i dont have anything setup, appointments etc, etc,
During charging i notice in battery monitor it never gets down to 0 on full 100% charge lowest its gotten was 8%
Another member akazabam which has helped me out a lot suggest i downgrade my pri to 1.77, question is is that all i need to flash anything else besides that?

Thanks...

How much time is it showing for the calendar? Mine does that every once in a while too, but it's never enough time to worry about. I don't exactly remember the circumstances under which I told you to try that. Are you seeing excessive wake time? If so, downgrading your PRI might help. Have you verified nothing else is causing battery drain? If you're just going to downgrade PRI, that's all you need to do. You don't need to mess with any of the other radios or anything. Just grab the 1.77 PRI from here:

[ Radios ][ 12-17 ] All EVO Radio, WiMAX, PRI, NV & HBoot versions - xda-developers

If it doesn't help, you should upgrade back to 1.90, as that's what you *should* be using if you don't have a problem with it. If that's the case, we can keep looking at a few other things.

No, you don't need to downgrade NV. As for knowing whether or not it's working, I guess that goes back to whether or not this will even help. The main reason for doing this is if your phone isn't sleeping when idle. Despite what spare parts says, what do you see for wake time vs uptime in the battery settings page? If it's higher than what you think it should be, than this might help. Same goes if the battery is draining a lot while the phone is idle. If you downgrade, and it helps, you'll know, more than likely, if the battery doesn't drain as fast when the phone is idle. If the battery is just draining quickly only while you're using the phone, this is unlikely to help.

Well when its charging i check battery monitor now and then to see where the % is if it will ever go to 0, justlike now i was at 72% in last screenshot now im at 66% within (EDIT 10 mins ) in the market. when unplugged it will drop down to 96% with in half our from 100% without using it, but i think it drains faster when in use such as txt, market, emails ( not alot of txt )

ok back on home screen flashed it, should i update profile?

UPDATED it,, ok now cell seems slow going from screens, app draw etc etc, or is it my imagination? lol

Yes, I would have suggested you update profile. Good idea to do that any time you change radios, pri, etc. Are you saying the phone seems to be running slower?

Have you tried rebooting? If it still seems slower than usual, verify nothing is holding wake locks (not that it matters when the phone is active, but if something is constantly running, it might do so while the phone should be sleeping, too), then install OS monitor and sort it by load. See if anything is running hot. I don't see how downgrading the PRI, would matter, but check those things.

yes was about to install OS monitor.. quick question here, if i ever unroot back to stock then root again would i have to do that sdcard partitioning again?
im not sure if you read into that or done it with miks roms? but i notice in spare parts dalvik-cache on sdcard isnt check marked shoudl it be?

What do you mean? Once you've partitioned the card, it's partitioned. Unrooting won't mess with it. You'd have to go into recovery and reformat it. Once you root again, you can access the partition again like you do now, presumably just using a2sd.

And to answer your question about dalvik to cache in spare parts, just ignore it. I'm guessing it's just some other method. If you want to move dalvik to cache, use a2sd. Mik also has a flashable zip that will do the a2sd command for you.

Oops :). Glad you got it figured out on your own. For the record, you could have mounted the card via usb in recovery, then copied over whatever you needed to fix it. Do you have any backups on your computer? You could have just finished formatting the card in recovery, then copied anything over. Where are you at now?

luckly i had my backup sdcard i tossed that in and it booted up, then on that sdcard i unrooted it back to stock, then put in 16gig card and formatted it through the PC, im at stock now about to root but got an error running unrevoke saying to new so i just ran the pc36 file to fix boot loader, gonna try and root now.. 9:56am

What version of unrevoked did you use, and what is your hboot version? Depending one what version of unrevoked you used (if you kept an older one) and what file you used to unroot, that *could* be a legitimate error. Did you ever flash s-on, or just run a RUU (via PC36IMG.zip, I assume)? I'm going to guess you kept S-OFF if you're talking about flashing PC36IMG.zip for hboot. Just out of curiosity, why did you decide to unroot?
