Isn't this phone just an EVO?

Ok, you mean this phone....

I believe most of these phones are look-a-like of the Evolution(evo)

He's referring to the Inspire 4g. People having been comparing it to the HTC Wildfire, which is the Europe version of the Evo. It's good to see a high end phone on the at&t network -- but the real test will see how these phones fare on the network.

This is my point. Is this really a high end phone? The Evo has been out since around June. This phone actually offers less features it seems.

The main differences between the HTC EVO 4G and the HTC Inspire 4G...

The HTC Inspire 4G has no front facing camera, no HDMI output, no kick stand, more memory, more ROM, and a Super LCD screen.

Am I missing anything?

I think you about summed it up more or less. As for this being a high end device. I would say it is, ATT hasn't offered much in terms of good android phones. I think the inspire will stack up against other carriers "high end" devices. It might be missing a couple features but I don't need a front facing camera or kickstand. To some people that might be a deal breaker or grounds to not call it a "high end" device. I am okay with it being compared to the evo, the evo is a great device and the inspire has the newer snapdragon and I guess a different screen.

The main difference to my thinking is the .45nm snap dragon processor which run smuch cooler and uses much less power than the Evos .65nm. Plus it has i think 3x as much ram with 768mb. And the display is 4.3 inch super LCD. It also runs on the newest Sense which is said to be a huge leap forward, and it is 4ghz hspda+ capable. The HTC media port will also be sold as an accessory which was not avail with the evo (but was with the desire HD)...

AT&Ts 4ghz network (although not online yet) is said to be much faster and more widespread than pretty much anyone elses (verizon included)

Thats "for starters"

Yea pretty much all this plus better battery life even with the smaller battery. The sense 2.0 is a huge leap forward. The 2nd gen snapdragon is also much faster and smooth. The rear casing is one piece of aluminum. The screen is SuperLCD when the evo is just LCD the ram is 768 compared to the evo 258 etc.etc

so the new sense from what i saw on another thread that said the new sense on the inspire it looks pretty cool like the way it handles web pages in windows, and how customizable it is..im really torn between this phone and the atrix. i have never used sense or motoblur for that matter

I have used both and.sense is a more.mature and useful UI it actually brings useful things to android unlike motoblur that is just se widgets. Also the sense is very polished adds nice looks to android unlike the kidlike look of motoblur

As an experiment go to another forum, don't tell them you are looking at inspire vs atrix and start a discussion about the new sense versus motoblur and touch wiz...see what feed back you get.
