Root Question about adding custom icons in Liberty 1.5

Ok, I am looking at the custom icon over a driodpirate.com and they suggest installing them via BetterCut. My question is, is there another way versus having to use that one App? I see some other free apps that do close to the same thing or can it be done through Liberty 1.5? I know it says something when they update the path changes or something and the icon path gets lost, thus why they suggest using BetterCut.

I use this Desktop VisualizeR - Android app on AppBrain and it works just fine and its free. I didn't like bettercut.

if you know where the icon is going, open the theme you like with 7zip and drag drop the icon from droid pirate in to its proper location, it will overwrite the old one, then flash with bootstrap.
