Root Root must not have worked...PLEASE HELP

Ran Odin, CWMRecovery_DJ05_DL09.tar.md5, reboot, blue text, apply sdcard:update.zip, switched to red text, install zip from sd card, choose zip from sd card, su-2.3.6.1+busybox1.19.zip, choose zip from sd card, DJ05_DL09_kernel.zip (plain kernel due to dl09), ran titanium backup, could not acquire root priv.

Startup screen has sound, but not animation anymore. Installed superuser and it shows titanium backup under "allow". When I run TB, I get the error screen and below in another small screen says, "Titanium Backup has been granted superuser permissions". But can't get anywhere to backup apps. Says Root Access: Failed.

ideas?

Another thing that confused me was the red cwm says voodoo lagfix recovery v2.5.1.x. I thought you weren't supposed to use any voodoo for DL30? Not that I've made it that far due to titanium backup issue, but....

I just checked and baseband and build are showing EA28. I did not install though i saw my screen last night showing update program and i hit cancel.

Don't know if this is why my root didn't work. Or even if root didnt' work. What can I do? I've read of issues with the CWMRecovery_DJ05_DL09.tar.md5 file. Is there a different one?

Any ideas? I've obviously done something since startup screen is gone, but didn't want to try to flash DL30 until I had apps backed up.

Ok, I'm freaking out a little now.

I can no longer connect to my phone to move files. I choose mass media, mount, and it shows up as CD drive. I eject (like before) and instead of turning to removable media, it just disappears.

Not sure what that means. I flashed "choose zip from sd card, su-2.3.6.1+busybox1.19.zip" and then went back and did same for basic kernel.

Nevermind.

Must have been an issue with the SU+busybox zip. I had to install SU from market and DL busybox from from TitBackup. It's working now, so must be rooted!!!! YES!!!

Wish me luck on the next part....install DL30 leak. Then newcwm right after?

Now my last concern was I have seen over and over to remove voodoo prior to DL30.

I don't think I installed it unless the CWMRecovery_DJ05_DL09.tar.md5 file is voodoo. Didn't think so.

But apply sd card: update zip takes me to red text. red cwm says voodoo lagfix recovery v2.5.1.x. Do I wipe and install as is?

the new red recovery for froyo is called voodoo recovery...but think of it more as the old green recovery with the update.zip....just so i get this straight...your trying to go to dl30?

cuz honestly its prerooted so you really dont need to be going through any of this

although i guess if your trying to backup app data with titanium that could be an issue...which is what i gather ur trying to do

but if superuser is saying tibu has root privelages...odds are you have root...just try clicking problems in tibu and let it download busybox

But easiest way to go to dl30 would be to download adryns super clean as recovery is built in....but if you want the stock rom download the dl30 leak and either one of of the new cwr....most recent is cwr_froyo.zip....put the cwr and rom on your sdcard

Boot to recovery...make sure voodoo was previously disabled and converted back to rfs....wipe data/cache/davlik cache.....flash recovery, then rom....then reboot and enjoy

If using super clean no need to flash a sepaerate recovery

See how my Root Access is 1.19 from adrynalyne. Im thinking if you installed the one from TiBu its 1.16 or something which is ok as long as you got it but that just means you didnt properly get adryn's busybox on there. Also the recommendation is for you to have the froyo cwm which is red instead of the green. http://db.tt/WasTcvc dont use the green its asking for problems long term

Oh I know I was just sayin it sounded like you were gettin nervious. Just tryin to make a happier tone and all. I have been there, when something didn't work the way you think it should have. I have had su acess issues just to find out they had been denied permission. Glad you got it goin bud. Once nit showed up, you were in good hands!

Saps, I swear right after it was working last night, it was 1.16. I just checked today and it's the same 1.19 adrynalyne as yours. no idea.

Newest problem as you may have seen in your post about wiping battery is can't get into cwm. went into recovery, sd install: update.zip and it went back into blue recovery. I installed newcwm.zip right after DL30leak.zip.

Maybe if I go thru ROM manager and flash cwr and then reboot into recovery? It says current recovery: clockworkmod 2.5.0.4???

Make sure you click flash clockwork in rom manager twice. If you go to blue stock recovery, scroll to apply sd and hit home soft key. That will take you to clockwork.

JUst put this in your other thread http://db.tt/4jyrDVR thats the odin for new froyo cwm [red] its all you need

if you are using odin or heimdall, then use the cwm_froyo-odin package. Unzip it, place update.zip on /sdcard, and flash cwm_froyo.tar via odin or heimdall. - jt1134

Phone was on charger. When I came to get phone, I was on the "full blue/red" update screen. I think it said something like "there is an update blah blah blah. Click ok or cancel" I clicked cancel since I knew I was going to 2.2 and didn't want to chance it not working higher than dl09.

Then when I looked next day, it showed EA28. No idea.

well ea28 is just a dl09 fix so no biggie
