Ok so I really need help lol. First off I have AT&T. The things I use for on my phone...texting, internet browsing, e-mail, viewing documents (pdf, powerpoint, word), clean calendar, and things to be organized and neat.

I used to have the 3GS iphone and it's pretty cool but I didn't find it organized. Even with folders, I didn't like it (widgets on the android phones seem pretty cool), I hated how if I got a text it would stop what's going on and just pop up on the screen, and it had no notification bar. The main thing was that the emails would update every 15 minutes and I really would like the emails to notify me as soon as I get them.

Then I got the blackberry torch and I really liked the e-mail because I'd get e-mails a few seconds after they were sent, the calendar was neat and clean. These were things the iphone didn't have and I liked a lot.

The only thing is that the Torch's screen is absolute garbage. Horrible resolution, bad pictures, and the touchscreen is horrible. And that's a big inconvenience especially since I have to always slide up the keyboard to type.

So I'm thinking of getting an Android phone. I'm sure internet browsing is the best on this because of the screen and it supports flash. Just a few questions...

Can I view .doc, .pdf, .ppt documents on the phone?
Is there a notification bar for missed calls, emails, texts, etc or is it like the iphone where they just pop up?
Also, how is the email? Do I get them as soon as they're sent or does it refresh every 15 minutes like the iphone?

BTW, im thinking of getting the captivate. I would wait for the infuse, but i never buy things when they're first out because a few weeks later price drops lol

welcome here!!!

Notification bar show all the things u have listed ....

and through settings u can change the refresh rate for email app!!

so android has all the things u want ..... ya flash support is great and same is the internet browsing...
so don't wait ...

Nice....but refresh rate I can still get it "push" right? Meaning as soon as they come in I receive it to my phone.
