Root Zoom Feature in Gmail App Gone after upgrading to DL30 (FROYO)

To all that upgraded to DL30,

Long time lurker, appreciate all the help on this forum. Has any one else noticed in the gmail app you can't pinch zoom in and out of a selected email anymore?

I am running the superclean version.

Any thoughts ?

I hadn't even noticed it till you mentioned it, but yeah - no pinch to zoom. weird

Add that to "no text size option in browser" and "true silent mode is harder to configure" for the growing list of new anti-features in DL30

silent mode/vibrate only changes are universal across android 2.2..cant blame a samsung decision on that one

Oh I wasn't laying blame on anyone in particular, just lamenting the general loss of options. I would wager that the lack of zooming in gmail isn't samsung's fault either. After all, it's no longer tied to the OS, so even if they pre-packaged it with a "zoomable" version, it would get overwritten by the first update.
