Inspire vs Samsung Captivate

I've been doing a whole bunch of research on the Samsung Captivate in the past few weeks, and then I heard about the HTC Inspire and now I have high hopes for the Inspire and I'm not sure which to get now. Anyway, I have a few questions about the Inspire.

  1. Does it have Swype? And does it have that thing where you say something, and then it makes it a text message?
  2. What is everything HTC Sense can do? I read everything here, but I'm interested to know what else it can do. Is there a list of everything it can do? Like literally, everything, even the tiniest things.
Edit: I just discovered the Atrix, so let's throw that one in too. Which one is the best, or which one would be best for me? I'm 16 years old, a sophomore in high school, I run track, so I'm somewhat busy, I'm nerdy (as in I like tech stuff.) I wouldn't be a hardcore business user like others may be, but I would push it a bit.

haha^ (two posts up, @Andrea. lsutigers posted before me)
Anyway, I was watching a video about the Desire, and while the guy was typing in a web address, I saw that there was a button on the keyboard for the speech thing so you can say stuff and it will input it for you. That's what it was, right? And the Inspire is the Desire, right? So will the Inspire have Swype? Because Swype is an awesome way to type. I tried Swype at the AT&T store on the Captivate and I was like way off the letters in what I was typing and it still got the words spot on. And it somehow knows what you want. Like to type "quick" you have to go almost all the way across the top row of keys, and it still knows you're trying to type "quick!"

You're certainly converting a lot of people to this phone. The least htc could do is give you a free phone.

There you go I like the way you think. :) ya know its not even about the phone. Its the fact that I know everyone works hard for there money and they should get the best they can foe their money. Not what the marketing hype wants them to buy. I saw alot of people about to drop alot of money on a phone that wasn't as good as they were led to believe.

Do you know how much the Inspire will be straight up and if I could get it for cheaper by trading my captivate in when I get it.

I'm not up for an upgrade for a while and will be paying the full price. I'd imagine it's somewhere from $400 - $500.

Depending on where you get it. 450 is the number most places are quoting. It all depends in how much they are willing to give you for your captivate

Holy fvck!!! Do NOT consider the Captivate. I've had the Captivate since launch, and I hate it with a passion. I'm selling it on CL right now, and putting the money towards the Inspire.

I promise you, the Captivate is one of the most horrible phones to ever be released. Check out the Captivate forums and you'll see the overwhelming hatred us owners have.

What ever they give me for the Captivate they can have it, I'll put whatever I get for it towards my Inspire and cover the rest myself. Even if I get nothing for my Captivate, I'll still buy the Inspire for $450.
