Root How to boot into recovery after flashing DL30?

I was running DJ05 going into the DL30 conversion. Flashed DL30 and the new cwm, everything went pretty smoothly. I am now running 2.2.1, Froyo goodness! Am I losing my mind or is there a different way to boot into the new cwm other than volume up/down and power? I'm guessing we can't use Rom manager but how? When I shut it down then press volume up and down and power, it boots to regular blue recovery. It gives me the option to reboot, install update.zip, wipe data, wipe cache. When I hit install update.zip it just reboots itself back into that same recovery. How do I get green recovery? I'm confused.

I have a couple questions that apply to this thread.

I installed Adrynalynes SuperClean DL30 1.0 from red CWM after disabling Voodoo and wiping cache/data. Most things appear to be working so far, and I def have Froyo on it cause I can now watch Flash TV shows.

Question 1, In the link above it talks about a red CWM, but not Voodoo. However I used Adryn's zip that had everything packed together, and the CWM I now have is green, not red. Is there something wrong?

Next, before, I had the option to boot to recovery and it took me straight to CWM. I just wanted to be certain that, with the current CWM for DL30, we must to boot to stock recovery first, and then apply update.zip to get to CWM, ie, is there no way to boot directly to CWM?

Also, does Adryn's superclean DL30 1.0 put a new update.zip file on my SDcard? Right now when I apply update.zip it takes me to a green CWM, as stated above.

Can a full nandroid backup be made with DL30 CWM?

Thanks for the help.

The clockwork on adryns rom is fine just the red *fake voodoo recovery is newer and preferable....you should have no issue backup and restoring nandroids

Since real voodoo recovery is the only permanent recovery and we don't have that yet you must apply the update zip to get into cwr

As usual, Thanks for the great advice. I think I'll go ahead and flash the newer CWM over my current one.
