poor battery results and it's the 2nd review i've read about stiff volume buttons.

Stiff volume buttons are definitely going to be an issue. Don't see how you can work around that with the way it's built. First time I've seen poor battery reported though, wish they'd give you a run down on what they were doing and what the battery times were.

Its funny they were "concerned" that it would not obtain a gps signal indoors.

My iphone 3gs has never NOT ONCE obtained a gps signal indoors, and i have lived with that for almost 2 years...come on people, gets some perspective! lol

They have the benchmark scores blowing away everything from the evo to the captivate..and pretty much every phone on the market, (save one or two)...

The point is it's getting slower network speeds than other phones that are 3G only.

Put it this way if and this is a big IF there is an antenna issue with the speeds they will have to exchange ever single inspire out there so I doubt they will let this slide

Why does AT&T launch a phone (and send review units) and attach 4G to it without having their network ready? All three of the other carriers managed to launch 4G devices and have a significant 4G footprint in place to at least show speeds off for reviews.

Secondly, its not as if magically, come March 1st, all the backhaul will be in place to deliver "4G"/6Mbps+ speeds to most of its customers. There will probably be a substantial amount of customers who buy the Inspire 4G who will not see "4G" for quite some time. They should know what to expect, hence the notes the reviewers have made.

Your right it wont be but it will start to spread at a much faster rate

So?

I get slower network speeds in one place, faster in another. I get faster network speeds on one day, slower on another. I get faster speeds with one phone on one day....slower with another on another day..then faster on the one that was slower and slower on the one that was faster.

Lets go through the list of variables

1) Signal strength.
2) Obstacles and buildings
3) radio interference
4) weather
5) cell tower maintenance
6) data traffic

And about 10 other things i cant even think of at the moment i am sure.

Add that to the fact that its been stated about 1000 times ALREADY that although they pick up the indicator for the 4G signal..AT&T says the switch is not YET TURNED ON...

Add all that up and your point here means exactly....squat.

AT&T is slower rolling out their 4g....i think thats probably true. Does this have anyting to do with the Inspire??

Nope.

Except some people may need to wait a couple more weeks (big freaking deal!)

Those will be the most useful tests! Side by side. But ill need to see more than one before i make any conclusions.

Then the expected result of the test would be nearly identical speeds for both devices.

Assuming they are faster then it will be confirmed that 4g is at least some what working.

But at least we wont have to listen to how it is SLOWER than the 3g phones any more....(wont that be nice!)
