lookout, new guy!
so, I'm eligible for an upgrade on the 10th, and this is the number one contender to be the next phone in my pocket. I've had my iphone 3g since the 3gs came out, and I'm more than ready to switch to Android. But I tend to get some bad buyer's remorse, and when I'm locked into a contract for 2 years, I don't want to settle for something less (like I did with the iphone).
I'm just a little concerned with this phone vs. the newer gen stuff, like the Atrix. Reading the review on the Optimus 2X, Engadget said that you would hardly utilize the second core, maybe only on games and hardcore video rendering. I don't do either of those, I tend to enjoy the simpler, pick-up-and-play games. So if you guys would mind reassuring a couple things I'm unsure about to solidify my decision:
screen resolution
single core Scorpion
battery length
side loading, whether it can be done or not
thanks!
