Ive been a loyal iPhone owner since it came out in 2007. Ive had all of them...the 2G, 3G, 3Gs, and now the iphone 4. I can't really say too many negative things about the phones themselves..its a well built product in my honest opinion. But the more polished android OS and its handsets get...the more ive been paying attention.

To be honest tho I am really tired of looking at the same old interface for the last 4yrs. HTC phones have had my interest for a while now..and with the limited access ive had to messing with one (Co-workers EVO)...I really like what I see. Hell...my iphone 4 which is very jailbroken..is even modded to look like an HTC phone...(clock/weather widgets..etc...).

To anyone who has made a similar move to the one Im about to make...what kind of things did you like/dislike from making the switch??

Pretty much every review ive read up to this point on the Inspire 4G has been positive..and ive got a feeling im really going to like it.

I switched from Android to iOS a few months ago. Now, I'm switching back. No beefs with iOS or Apple, but I, like you, am getting tired of looking at the same thing every day. On Android, I would change the scenery based on moods, events, etc. iOS feels like Steve Jobs phone. Android phones can actually be customized to your hearts desire. That's one of the big reasons I'm switching back. iOS is getting stale, and the notification system sucks compared to Android. I love my iPhone 4, but I've never felt like it was mines, if that makes sense. So I'm selling mines and going back to Android-this time for good.

I'm making the same switch. I just can't stand another second of looking at the same OS that I've seen since 2007. It's stale and boring now. So there are a ton of pros for me. Sense which looks great, and nice large screen, the option for flash if I want to use it, widgets, customization, flashing all kinds of different roms, etc. I'm from an all iPhone family so the one con will be having to hear "You got rid of your iPhone? Geez that was stupid it's the best phone" over and over and over again.

Although my brother wants to try whatever phone I end up getting and if he likes it he's going to switch.

I used to own the 3gs and the 4. And I thought that whole notification all in the open was cool.. until facebook would also shoot EVERY single notification if someone liked your post, or liked a picture.. that got REALLY annoying! Oh yea and Im glad my Captivate had a GPS issue so I returned it and now IM SOOo excited about this Inspire! I used to think I would not like the whole - Apple has more apps deal - but I think the Android market will surpass them in no time!
