Instead of using software to do YouTude conversions.....it is much easier to use Userscripts from Greasemonkey. Short explanation, its just a firefox add-on that will allow you to download Youtube (video/audio) straight from the youtube webpage.

I find it more practical to get the video first. Then if I only want the audio, I extract it from the video file (demux). That way I have both a video and audio files for different usage.
However, you need to know that the audio quality usually is not that great in Youtube videos.
hmmm...i have no problem finding videos using the youtube app. i guess it all depends on what you're searching for.
thanks for the tubemate recommendation. it'll come in handy if i want to make a convert a portion of a video into a ringtone. Antoine Dodson and Family Guy come to mind, lol!
There was another app, I can't remember it's name, which kept getting deleted from the marketplace.
Google don't like it apparently and they check apps that start getting 250+ downloads a day.
My solution is to use one of the many online converter/rippers in the browser. Copy/paste the youtube link and then download the output file to your phone.

It's pure garbage, folks. Please believe those who say that it is junk. You will get stupid popup ads saying that you won this and that lottery. If I was truly that rich I don't think I'd have so much time and boredom on my hands that I'd want to reminisce about my childhood days of the 80's and wanting to rip a Cyndi Lauper "Girls Want To Have Fun" mp3 off her video on youtube.
