How do I sync music on an Android device?

This is really pissing me of, If I could get this sorted i'd be more than happy with my droid, at the min I've lost heart in the music side of things and am contemplating going back to Apple.

Basically what I want to do is get my iTunes playlists onto my droid. I have 700+ songs so then needed to be organised on PC before syncing onto phone. I know you can create a folder music and plunk all in there but there is no sort or organisation with this method.

What I have tried is Doubletwist. Double twist looked like it was gonna be what I needed, it synced all over to the 8gb internal storage in playlists, great until I looked at them in Doubletwist to discover half the ID3 tags were missing, it also duplicated onto the external storage, so I had 2 sets of song and 2 sets of playlists, and to add to my frustration neither the playlists or songs were found by any other music player.

Next was iTunes agent, It was easy this, it appeared in iTunes I just dragged the playlists over, Now the issue is it copied the song but didn't copy the playlists so I have a mass of songs all through each other, basically the same as just dragging all the songs onto the music folder created, no organisation at all.

So any other ideas?

Thats time consuming adding 4 or 5 different genres of music to different playlists which is why I wanted to sync my itunes playlist over.

Double twist is crap. I've had better experiences with Media Monkey. It's not 100% perfect, you'll still get the occasional WTF ID3 tags but it's a lot better than most of the the syncing software out there. For those odd ones that don't quite sync properly, I use mp3 tagger in the market to correct them. Not iTunes perfect but it's a fairly good option.

You know what's funny though. I tried syncing all my music I originally had on my android phone to my iPod using iTunes via my PC and it got more screwed up than when I originally synced it to my android device using Media Monkey. Unless you're buying music directly from the source i.e iTunes, amazonmp3 etc, you're always going to incur some problems.

DoubleTwist is crap. It's slow and spotty. I use Subsonic, and never worry about syncing anything. Assuming the music is unprotected, you can access everything... all the time if you have a network connection. Some people prefer Audio Galaxy because it's easier to setup.
