When I was trying to download a custom font from velocity 1.0 it restarted and when it went to my home page nothing should up and it doesn't give me options on turning my phone off.

Is there a way to get into recovery by turning on the phone?

Turn the phone off.

Hold the power, send and menu buttons until the lg logo appears.

I was trying to change the font color and had the same thing happen. Did a battery pull and rebooted in recovery (Vol Down + Home + End) reflashed/rebooted and everything was okay.
On a very unrelated note did anyone see the Black Eyed Peas haldtime performance @ Superbowl? OMG Fergie cannot sing if her life depended on it! My ears still hurt :(
