So I went to the city again (NY) and asked in another store, they told me that they were taking pre orders on the 13th and then I asked how much off contract, guess what they told me? Not $430-$500, not "Sorry I dont know", No, you know what they said?

"ATT dosnt sell off contract phones"<<<<WTF?

I just left. Seriously, I want this phone and am ready to pay for it Sunday, but something tells me that its not gonna be that easy, why cant I just go into a store, buy it and be done with it? Why does everything have to be so complicated? Hopefully I can get it Sunday, but im not gonna get too excited.

Just call cancellations or go online or try another store. those guys are morons.

One thing you can use to your advantage is that the cancellations department HATES the store people, lol. The guy I talked to went on and on about them and how dumb/misinformed they can be. Id call, say I wanted to cancel because of how the store mistreated to me, and then watch how quickly you get an Inspire for $99 (and maybe a 25-50 dollar coupon on top).

I dont understand why AT&T would hire some of these *****. Seriously it is your job to know WTF is going on and it literally takes 10 minutes of your day to keep up to speed on these things. In this bad economy im sure there are plenty of over qualified individuals that would love to take that guys job at the corporate store and would actually do their damn job.

Best of luck to you sir

Yea right lol people in new York are a complete mess lol

I lived in mid-town manhatten for a year...57th and 9th area.

90% of the people in the service industry such as cabies, restaurant employees, hotel front desk, etc (all the people you come in contact with) speak english as a second language.

But, they are all very accepting, hard working, and extremely pleasant...its the Americans down in the buisness/garment etc districts that are the real A-HOLES. (not counting the Russians with 13 year old wives that will SHOULDER CHUCK the crap out of you if they think you are looking too hard)...(per my experience).

Having said that, maybe there are communication issues if these guys are of the "second language" variety and maybe its not their fault??
