Hi All
I have the HTC Desire HD in Australia from Vodafone running Froyo 2.2 Vodafone branded
Some background info, I have had this phone for a few months since November 2010, had no problems previously with my old WiFi setup using a Linksys WRP400 WiFi G AP Router. The connection was always on and never dropped.
I have since upgraded to a new Linksys WRT320N and the WiFi connection drops out frequently and has trouble reconnecting. This will happen once or twice in 10 minutes.
The signal reception is generally Good and I'm no more than 10 meters away from the AP at any time, and only ever through one brick wall
I have phoned Linksys support and changed some settings on the router and now the connection is better. The WiFi connection up for an hour at a time, but it still drops and the phone has trouble reconnecting and often won't reconnect at all and needs to be manually reconnected by going through the menus. The menu setting Menu > Wireless & Networks > Wi-Fi Settings > Menu > Advanced > Wi-Fi sleep policy is set to Never. I also tried enabling "Best wireless performance" but it didn't help
The phone settings haven't been changed, yet the connection is less reliable. Everything points towards the WRT320N router having a flaky Wireless radio
I pulled out a log of the phone as it tries to re-associate with the WRT320N AP.. maybe someone can spot the problem?
