Root Just few noob questions to clear things up....

It returns you to stock / unrooted?

2) Fastest way to get to EB01 from a un-rooted stock phone?

Would it be to flash EB01 MODEM, and then put

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7223192/RootSF/su-2.3.6.1+busybox1.19.zip
and the update.zip on your sdcard and then just use odin to flash the new cwm (red) ? And then use that to flash EB01?

I'm open to suggestions. It just seems like a lot of the threads are out of date. The hardest part is the rooting / installing cwm. I'm just wondering if there's some quick way.Thx

Technically you don't have to go back to stock if you're installing DL30, just disable Voodoo if you're running it and flash the DL30 zip in CWR, then flash the new 2.2 CRW (sending from my phone..no links lol)

I just completely wiped my phone last night .... don't ask me why. Bored i guess. Booted to CW and "wiped cache" "wipe data - restore to factory settings" On my SD Card I already had:
1) <Update.zip> and
2) <su-2.3.6.1+busybox1.1.19.zip>
3) <DL30-CWM.zip>
4) <DL09modem.tar>

Not sure if I needed to do steps 1 & 2 but I did anyway (apply from SD card) then (apply from SD card) steps 3 & 4. I still have some annoying bugs but the GPS locks on super fast now (unlike our previous problems)

EB01 is likely to be the official VZW OTA of Froyo

Well yeah I'm thinking about doing it for a friend though. That's why I ask! So is my method good? I edited the OP too
