hi guys...

I see a lot of upset fellow sprint clients...
with all the changes and charges and stupid announcements...
i completely feel you!

if i could get 1 thing .. that will make me feel better about all the crap lately....

if the data speeds would be closer to what is marketed. coverage, consistency, and penetration.

3G higher than 1mb
4G higher than 5mb

currently it is shit slow for both .. and you are lucky if you can get 4G at all (in a 4G area).

I think if the Data speeds and coverage was better, then all the other crap is understandable and acceptable.
Phones will come out.. not a big concern like others here.
Price... inflation is a bitch.. but what u going to do?

SO.. WHAT WOULD YOU WANT TO MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER????

I want lots of different phones. If they could come out with one every month that I want that would be awesome. That is how often I would like to buy a new phone. And half the time do! Haha. Except for now I have had pretty much all the good ones. I need a new one to play with! One of the new upcoming blackberries would be good since my last one was an android. Or the palm pre 3.

I want speed. I like my EVO, but my 3G speeds are terrible. I dont like that I only get 800Kbps in Northern VA/DC... while I am paying $10 for premium data, on top of my Everything Data plan.

Earlier today, it took 3 minutes and 17 seconds to open up AndroidForums.com. By Comparison, my coworker on his DroidX took 11 seconds. My EVO seemed to speed up later in the day though.

and some would actually be webOS related. Disappointing news all around...Still no official 2.2 on the Epic. The Echo thing was a complete bust. Actually read a half decent review then it got slammed for lack of horsepower. HP comes up small with their "Think Beyond", and Sprint just puts the screws to its customers with the global smartphone fee and upgrade policy. There's just nothing to be excited about as a Sprint customer right now.

I ranted in all the appropriate places. Even hopped back over to precentral for a few. Wanted to see if webOS 2.0 was anything to write home about, but apparently I can't update the Pre to it because it doesn't have the HP (the irony of it...) to handle it. At least if 2.2 dropped for the epic you'd see a slew of new ROMs with optimized kernels, overclocking and such. If you saw some network improvements you'd at least be impressed at some improved browsing speeds or 4g where you didn't have it before. Just something.

My Sprint rep left for T-Mobile and he's touting all these deals and cheap phones and such. HSPA+ is no slouch, and they seem like they're getting more and more phones to choose from. So I'm open on to see what's best for the 24 lines we have. I gave my new rep a laundry list of things to do. Have been getting charged for an erroneous broadband line since July and an Overdrive that doesn't want to work and nobody wants to fix it. So I have a chip on my shoulder. The one plus is we're not subject to the $10 rule and the new upgrade policy, so that's a nice plus 1 for Sprint.

I am about 1 maybe 2 weeks away from droping my Sprint contract and paying the ETF. All I want out of Sprint is a DECENT NETWORK. I have worse than horrible service. I cant make a PHONE CALL from my HOUSE or my GFs place either. The signal is so bad that it leaves my phone "searching for signal" all the time wich in turn drains my battery in like 4 to 5 hours. In such a competitive market where everyone is touting 4G this and better 3G coverage that. . . . Sprint cant even establish a decent cell network for calls! I think its rediculous!

My final thought. . . . Sprint FTL!

^^^^ are you at?? do you you have wifi at home? you might be able to get an airwave from sprint for free. call them

Yeah we have broad band internet at both mine and my GFs place. Problem is, After several dozen calls to Sprint they finally offered it to me and then checked my neighborhood for signal strength and told me that the signal was so weak here that an Airrave wouldnt even help me. They explained that the Airrave needs at least a certain number Htz signal strength or something like that.

I could deal with this and understand it if I lived out in BFE (bum ****ed egypt), but I live in a pretty major area. I live in Mississippi, but I can step out my back door and throw my POS phone into Memphis. So I dont live way the hell out in the middle of nowhere!

^^^ yeah.. no service carrier is perfect.. cant put a tower in every place.
so that sucks you and your gf.. happen to be in the holes.

good thing there are other carriers.. and see if you can find a better provider.
if you hate the EFT..... hint: find the verizon PRL roaming hack. for a solution and way out.

If Sprint doesn't work for you then you should switch. Go to a provider that has good service where you live and travel. Did you not realize in the first 30 days that the service where you live wasn't good?

Oh absolutly I DO plan to switch, and ofcourse I seen the service sucked in the first 30 days. Sprint gave me a big run around with every call I made to them. They were fixing this and checking that and putting service tickets out to check towers. Between all the phone calls and updating my phone with different updates and crap and everything else the 30 days was gone fast. I realize my part in this mistake, I actually had faith in them that they would getthings fixed. Coming from AT&T with really good service (just crappy pricing) I thought the days of "no cell coverage" and dropped calls and all that was mainly a thing of the past. Boy was I wrong! I told a Sprint rep once. . . "AT&T and Verizon was arguing over the best 3G coverage and Sprint cant even get the BASIC CELL coverage".

Now for all you Sprint "cheerleaders" that read this. . . Dont flame me just cause I dont like Sprint. If you get good coverage in your area and are happy with what you recieve for service. . . . More power to ya. Im actually jealous that you get to pay less with Sprint and be happy, cause I plan on switching to Verizon soon and am gonna be paying like 30 bucks more a month for 2 phones. But if I gotta pay a few bucks more to get service that works, so be it. . . . .
