Android Eris

I have been an Eris owner for over a year now. For the most part, I have been fairly happy with the phone with the exception of a few continual problems. I have a friend who is a tech with a very familiar carrier and he has helped many times with small issues but even my current problem stumps him. My daughter and also my best friends own the same phone and have exactly the same problems. My phone freezes up often, screen will go black and is so slow when trying to call, it is ridiculous. I have said many times that there is going to be a time when there is an emergency and my phone will freeze....well, it happened. I was in a serious accident this week and could not even call 911 for help. The _ _ _ _ _ _ phone froze and would not let me make a call for over 5 minutes. Thank the good Lord I or the lady in the other car were not injured. I need answers and a fix or this baby is going through the window....

If it is less than a year verizon has to replace it. That is a serious issue and one you shouldn't have to worry about

Is a hard reset where you remove the battery, leave out for a few minutes, and then reboot?

First in case you missed my other response^
And no, thats a soft reset. If you go to menu>settings>phone storage>hard reset(might be called reset to factory settings or something)

Make sure to at least back up your contacts and anything on your INTERNAL memory you don't wanna lose
