Root Decisions, Decisions...

Hi all

I have been running MIUI for a little while now and, whilst I love some of the interface tweaks, I am getting general weirdness happening.

So I figured that I would go for a Gingerbread Release and have a play with that.

I am now torn between Gingervillain, Oxygen 2, CM7 nightly and UltimateDroid 3.0RC

I normally avoid these types of post, but I keep flip-flopping between choices and not actually doing anything.

I running S-ON and, with A2SD+, I am not sure I see any real benefit of going S-OFF unless I have to. I have 100ish apps (most of which are in general use at least weekly) and never have problems with space (1gb ext3 for A2SD).

I see a lot of people talking about GV and am leaning towards that I think..

Just looking for opinions really.

Cheers

GV hasn't been updated for a while. I'm wondering what will happen next to be honest.

It depends what you want. If you want a good stable and easy to set up GB, GV it is, but if you want Cyanogen stuff, you'll need to add gapps and a2sd to cyanogen yourself.

Its hard to recommend when the future of Defrost and Gingervillain is uncertain.

Cyanogen(|Mod), yey :D. Why go for the offspring when you can have the daddy?

tbh that was one of the concerns I had about GV - I think I will try a CM7 nightly and see how I get on, and if it is too buggy, drop GV in :)

Thanks
