Hey guys, bought the Dr. Dre Solo HD headphones a while back, absolutely loved them since. I've used them on my iPhone for a while now and they work properly and as they should. With the buttons allowing the volume to go up and down, to pause/play music, answering phone calls etc.

Do they work on the HTC Desire HD? I'm getting a new phone soon and this seems to be one of my options? I'm pretty sure you've heard this question before, but I've been trying to Google the question and have found nothing!

Some help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks in advance!

This is what I found on Beats Solo by Dr. Dre Headphones from Monster Review (white) - Headphones - CNET Reviews It's rather old so it might work by now... If you're really an audiophile I would go for another phone though, because personally I think the audio playback is rather mediocre.

Cheers

Pros: Awesome sound quality, highly durable, can play music at extreme levels with out damage, great noise cancellation, the BEST
Cons: *Control talk does not currently work with Android or just about any music device. Hopefully monster will release an Android app or something to resolve this.
Summary: The bottom line is in the last 2 years I have gone threw: 2 Bose On Ear Headphones (first pair blew out, second pair right ear went completely out. The only reason the second pair did not blow out is I kept my phones music volume from going full blast, ... Expand full review

Thanks for the quick response but I cannot help but think you're going off-track of my topic question. You seem to be telling me the pro's and cons of a product [headphones] of which I already have, and have no problem with, as they are excellent.

I just wanted to know if the ControlTalk system with the cable worked on Android phones!

Did you actually read my reply???

I did, sorry I just noticed the bit in red re: cons. I'm seriously looking at Android and this isn't good for me, I'm not an audiophile as per say either but I do use my headphones a fair amount and I do love my iPod on my iPhone. Pain in the ass if Android cannot do a simple task like ControlTalk and tgr simple buttons though.

Thanks for the quick response. anything you would recommend as far as an upgrade goes?

Are these Bluetooth heaDphones?

I've not been best pleased geez, I have Motorola bt stereo headphones, which I got a couple years back, & used flawlessly with my iPhone 3g at the time. (calls, track up/down, pause, play, volume)
I
They're a bit hit n miss with the dhd, needs a restart now & then to work. Sound quality's good though.
Been ok with my earpiece bt.
Doesn't connect to my Nokia car bt, iPhone did.
Doesn't support a lot of bt keyboards, which I didn't have when I had my iPhone so can't say.
(but doesn't connect to my igo stowaway)

I'd definitely try it in the shop or whatever before buying. Don't forget to try a restart before giving up.

If they're wired headphones, I'm very impressed by the sound quality & operation of the stock headphones, so can't see why it wouldn't with yours. I have tried iPhone headphones in the dhd though, they're ok for answering/ending calls & start/stop music, but wasn't able to do track up/down.
