Car and home docs for the TB? I have an X right now with both, and love them, but I know that previous HTC phones no docks where ever sold with them. Im not so much worried about the home dock, but the car dock would be a deal breaker. I dont want some generic holder.

Its not like Im going from a POS Blackberry to the TB, I already have a good phone in my X, so yes, if I am changing phones I want a sano looking set up. And I dont mind spending money to get the right tool for the job.

Since it looks like we went from a 14 Feb launch to a 24 Feb launch, the accessories should be available on launch day instead of the normal two week or more delay. I'm looking for the car dock since I just set up my Flex for the Samsung Tab and the Incredible the way I want it.

I dunno about the 24th date yet, I checked last night at work (like I said I work at Best Buy) and it still said 2/14/11 as release date. Who knows though.

I do know, however, Best Buy has gotten in a lot of accessories for the TB already. (Screen Covers, Cases, etc)

Thank you, sir. I was at Best Buy last night asking about info on a car dock release and they had no info on it, but did offer up that past HTC releases did not have car docks offered from HTC (Not sure how reliable this info is), and so not to count on it.
I want what I want, and if the thunderbolt doesnt meet my needs, I can certainly wait until something does.
And as of last night, they where saying they where getting a shipment of TB's on Monday.

Exactly. We wouldn't get the shipment monday (our deliveries don't come in until late in the day) We'd get a drop shipment on Saturday for Monday, which is what my mobile department told me was going on it our store at least...who knows exactly though.

I got an HTC Incredible car dock about two weeks after the Incredible launched. I got a case the same day of launch and walked out with it on the phone. I expect they will have the car dock if not by launch within a few days after. Just speculation though... no inside info.

Ummm if you ever used google maps navigation you would understand why the car dock is a big deal

I have used Google nav on my Incredible and with a generic dock. All you have to do is put it in car mode manually (there's a shortcut for it on the main homepage). It's not automatic, but all it takes is one press on the screen to accomplish the same thing. Not a big deal.

The Evo did have a car dock but it was released a few months after the Evo.

The moto looks like it would survive a head on collision, the HTC one looks almost as flimsy as the all plastic ones from Best Buy.

yeah I have an X now too. Ever since I had the BBStorm ive loved using the home dock (and the one for the X is great!) so im REALLY hoping that HTC steps up and makes a moto quality home dock. and a good quality car dock would be great too
