Root Camera App with Panarama Stitching?

Is there an app similar to the blur camera for panorama stitching? The aosp camera in rubix focused doesn't have that feature.

Its a paid app but there is a free version I think. Its called Photaf and it works great. Worth the $$.

if you were running Liberty, the blur camera is available as an add-on from the toolbox

You can download the blurcamera.apk file from THIS site and then install it as a system app.

Is installing as a system app different than normal market app? And do I need the .odex file of the same name? Sorry if that's a basic question.

Yes, you need to use Root Explorer and copy the apk file to your system/app folder, then change the permissions (long press on the apk. file once you've moved it)to, User: Read, Write; Group: Read; and Others: Read. Then just restart your phone.

Ok, I moved it and changed the permissions and rebooted and the old camera is still there. I don't see the new camera app anywhere except with root explorer. When I try to install it from there it says failed. No reason given.

Open terminal emulator
Su
Chmod 755 /system/app/BlurCamera.apk (or whatever its named. Case sensitive)
Reboot

Typing that in terminal will set it correctly and reboot your phone. You might want to delete the old app so two aren't showing in the drawer

Works with Focused and Liberty and probably any other AOSP rom.

Note that you flash it from recovery so easier to install.

And when you install the above...does it replace your stock camera or just add an additional camera app?

I went with Liberty Rom. Installed updated Liberty Toolbox and it has an option to install blur camera. All is well.

You start with either the left or right side, take a pic, slowly move to the side and once you're in the right spot it takes a second pic. You continue doing this until 5 pics have been taken and then it stitches them together.

panoramic photos is one of the "picture modes" available with the stock camera. open camera>menu>picture mode>panorama assist> choose direction you want to shoot(left, right, up, down)>take pictures> stictch/

you can take 2 pictures or five pictures and it will stitch them together when you hit the stop button where the capture button used to be.

it has been great for taking some awesome pictures

the Photoaf app can be used for taking a full 360* panoramic picture.
but i dont think the stcitching is quite as smooth as the stock camera stitching.

You should be able to use this with Liberty or any AOSP rom. It does replace the camera.apk so you might want to rename yours or back it up.

I'm running it with Rubix Focused, which is based on Liberty 1.0.

Thanks for the information. Yep, that was my main concern with the Rubix Fission, I didn't know for sure if it was made for Liberty 1.5 and that is what I am running right now.

Update liberty toolbox and you can install blur camera right from there.

I just recently discovered that the stock camera app has this feature, but I don't know how to make it work. I have a phone that runs Gingerbread. Do you mind giving me specific instructions on how to make this work? Thanks!
