Help Hulu Hack: Small Problem with Working Hulu Hack

Hey all,

I'm running the hulu hack and everything is working great. The only problem i'm running into is when I try to watch a "mature" video, its always sunny in Philadelphia for example, it pops up with a message saying i need to log in to watch it. So i log in, then video starts to load, then another message pops up saying the same thing only in a different place, so i put in the info again, and then it looks like its loading, but stops and does nothing and just sits there.

All other videos work great on 3g, but I can not figure out a way to watch the "mature" rated videos, due to this problem with logging into my hulu account to prove I'm over 17 or whatever.

Is this a known problem? Anyone have a solution for this?

Thanks for everything in advance!

sorry i can not help on this. But i saw the post and wondered how you are watching hulu? I have the zip and extracted it, But when i restart the phone i do not know what i am looking for? I go to hulu site and it wont let me watch anything as it says phones are not supported. I did not see an App in the market for Hulu. Only a fake Hulu Like, app.

I found it. Followed the ins. Uninstalled Flash and installed again. Got HUlu installed. It still says Hulu is not supported by my device everytime i try to watch something. So you are in better shape than me. At least you can watch it!

I did some searching around and all the sites say that hulu is blocking all mobile devices? But isnt the APK file suppose to get through that? I put dj05 radio on my phone hoping that would do it. No luck. Tried other viewers that some say would push the video through. No luck either.

Hulu does not work with EB01 stock. It actually stopped my hacked hulu mod and apk from working. I got it working again by reinstalling through CWM and reinstalling the apk and then redownloading flash in the market place and unchecking autoupdate.

heres the links to the hack files,

xda-developers

install that via cwm

and install the apk after using normal methods:

Well, i got it. I uninstalled Hulu from the last try. I uninstalled Flash 10.1
Went into recovery, Cleared Cache and Dalvik.
I then ran the Zip again for Hulu.

Restarted and installed the Hulu APK. from File Expert.

Hulu worked. Went on you tube and everything works.

Then do not reinstall flash.
When i did. Hulu stopped working

That could be it, I installed the zip before I installed voodoo, so it could have something to do with the new CWM needed to install DL30 or EB01...interesting...

When I flashed the zip on sc2.0 that is a novoodoo, the zip works and even works after flashed jt's eb01 voodoo kernal. But once being on voodoo, no magic anymore. I guess the package was developed for another device originally that has no lag issue.

I had Hulu operational. EB01, Non Voodoo.

I just flashed voodoo and it no longer works for me. I wont waste a weekend trying to get it to work. If i need it bad enough i will take the voodoo off. For now i want to see the difference it does or does not make to have voodoo on EB01.

Based on my experience, uv voodoo give me batter battery life and improve a lots in IO performance.

True. The kernel eb01/2.2 voodoo isnt really a complete package of course. No uv since there is no kernel source either. Given time and kernel source we're expecting good stuff from the usual suspects jt, nemesis2all and imnuts will all deliver voodoo stuff

Yeah I had everything running fine, voodoo on eb01 superclean 2.0. I then updated to 2.1 with voodoo CWM, and poof, hulu not working. Even after reflashing the hulu mod in voodoo cwm, not working.

So I think we've pinpointed the problem. It has something to do with the voodoo version of CWM.

The steps arent the issue. I have tried the steps 3xs over. It just doesnt work consistently phone to phone. For me, It only works when i uninstall flash and then run the apk file. It says, my flash has been updated. or something like that.

And it only works non voodoo for me.

The issue is caused by the zip file can't be flashed correctly under voodoo recovery. The steps described in my thread in xda are done manually to clean up .so files thus solved the issue.

is it this? Already tried it. Didnt work for me.
Instructions:

1. Boot into Recovery (ClockworkMod). Flash the file from the link below and Reboot
2. Open market, navigate to adobe flash player, and uncheck automatic updates for adobe flash player.
3. Get your hulu on! Open hulu app - Watch hulu!

If you are having problems, uninstall Adobe Flash updates in the Market app and try again.

I had nothing to do with this mod . It worked for me and thought i would spread the word .

Those are just absolutely simple steps, like a "for dummies guide." Those are not instructions on how to fix anything, so if you are just doing those steps over and over again, i certainly hope you're not expecting different results.

Vshand, is there any chance that you could just post the fixed/modded files so everyone can just download and enjoy? I'm having a little trouble understanding your steps that you posted and what you mean by, "manually to clean up .so files."

Any advice or guidance you can provide is greatly appreciated, I'm going to try to do what I believe you are meaning in the steps you posted at XDA and see if I can get it to work on my own. We'll see if I'm understanding you correctly.

Thanks for solving a problem we're all having!
