Help HELP! All apps and internet use disappeared!!

I used my husband's Continuum last night to browse the internet for a few minutes. I handed it back to him, he put it away. Then when he went to use it next, ALL the apps, internet abilities, etc had disappeared!! In addition, there are no saved screens when sliding from light to right or right to left on the main home page, those all disappeared too!

Of course it appears as though I did something to cause this problem, but seriously I only used the browse button.

What's up??

We took out the battery and put in again, everything is restored. Thanks!
