I've been looking around different forums and posts and can never find G2s posting their homescreens so here's my newb attempt at getting some posted not just for me but for everyone else like me that had to scour the Droid X forums like a bum in the street.

Doc icons are aluminum mac. From left to right Phone, Market (App Brain of course) I think I like this one too much because it is the Cydia icon and I'm using it for the Market, App drawer, Handcent, and last is my tool group using Apps organizer so it pops up Astro - WiFi Analyzer - Settings - Etc.

Minimalistic text for the date / time and WidgetSoid for all my on/off widgets. I just finally started messing with all this yesterday, got rooted today so hopefully I'll be doing better things in no time.

Edit: Almost forgot, this is my alternate setup. My normal setup is a picture of my girl friend that I don't want on the internet.

So this isn't exactly on topic but since I created it I suppose I can pretend it's ok to derail it for a moment...

Simple question that I haven't noticed anything I've read mentioning:

Do you have to back up any provider info on your phone before you load a ROM? Like APNs or anything silly. I've rooted and S-OFFed already so successfully perma-rooted and I've got GingerVillian ready to load just want confirmation before I click the button. Thanks.

Cool, thanks. I loaded GingerVillain but it seems my WiFi is bugged out, going to try Cyanogen and such now.

Back to homescreens!

I'm running gingervillan my wifi was crapped out on the first boot also. It started working after a reboot. I'm also getting crazy good battery life, been up and running for 15 hours now with 35% left.

Alright, I'll flash it again then try a reboot, thanks. I'm still getting used to finding mirrors... Cyanogen 6.1.1 doesn't seem to be downloadable using Clockwork ROM Manager right now... keeps timing out. Will have a new screen shot soon I hope :)

I would gladly use the CM7 you're using or even CM6, however, I'm currently in China on vacation and they have all the mirrors that I've found blocked so I keep trying to download it on the laptop using a VPN but it's such a terrible download time and around one hour it times out.

So unless someone can find a mirror that I haven't (most of them I've found direct to Teamdouche) I'll have to wait until I get back to the states to try out the CM's ROMs.

Also, while we're on the topic, I only noticed a slight increase when switching to GingerVillain from Stock rooted. I'm still reading up on all these kernal tweaks and such but it seems to be included in baconbits so again I'll have to wait unless someone has another mirror for CM6/7 that isn't blocked by the red army.

EDIT: Crackflashers.com has direct links to the newest CMs. Credit to jda for helping me out with that.
