Accessories Multimedia dock/desktop dock question

Do both the desktop dock and multimedia dock allow you to connect them to your computer to transfer files and such? Or is the desktop dock just for charging and I have to buy the multimedia dock to connect to my computer?

the desktop dock doesnt have any hdmi out or usb ports.. hence it cannot be used to connect to ur comp...

I do not believe you can use any dock to connect to your computer (or need to).

If it is like the Droid, the desktop dock will have an Usb port that can be used to connect to your computer or use with the Usb/ac adapter.

What the hell is the point of a desktop dock if it can't connect to a computer?

The use of the standard desktop dock (for me) would be to charge the phone and, when used with an Atrix, allow it to be used as a clock with alarm. Now that I have actually seen the dock, it more than likely can be used to connect to your computer the same as you would with just the standard microUSB cable that comes in the box, but you can also connect speakers or a headphone to the back of the dock.
