I was able to set up the mail, but I am unable to open video attachments. Is there anything I can do?

If its a format the phone is unable to play(ie the stock media player or any other player downloaded from market) then it wont play. In the same way on a PC, the computer recognizes the file type and opens it with the associated program, its how it works on Android. If nothing is associated with the type of file attached, it wont do anything.
