hi im a newbie here. i downloaded the app z4 using my computer. now, my question is, and hoping that you could help me out on this, is how can i get this to my phone (gt540 eclair) it's a file apk. where do i put this on my phone? how do i install it on my phone?

First, greetings to all forum members, I am a new member. Ok now my question I made all the preparations, I even already uninstall annoying sims3 Now I wonder which of the following applications is safe to uninstall? (the phone is LG GT540 with 2.1 os)
-Facebook for lg
-Foursquare
-Latitude
-Layer
-Places
-Rss reader
-Twiter for lg
-Wapedia

Thanks for the help. I'm running android 2.1, updated from the LG website. I downloaded the file you posted directly to my phone and installed it with easy installer. Z4root first asked me to enable usb debugging, which I did as you suggested. Then I ran z4root again. Everything seemed fine, but it got to the point of "acquiring root shell" l and the application simply vanishes. No reboot, no feedback of any kind. I tried titanium backup to see if the root had worked, but it said my phone is not rooted. Terminal emulator confirmed this ("permission denied").
Any ideas of what I might have done wrong? Thanks!
