Help adobe reader bombing with tnt lite in browser

I recently flashed tent lite and am now seeing that any PDF file on the internet force closes the browser. The PDF flies is saved if iopen the adobe reader individually. Anyone had this issue? I don't know where browser settings are to make sure that adobe is the default reader.

Which site are you looking at? Everytime I try to look at a PDF it asks me to dl it first. And I'm able to read it.

Any site that offers a PDF. Some manuals on appliance sites for instance or blueprints for a hobby project. I seem to have to link the browser to adobe in some way. It works on its own and even has a copy of the pdf after it forcel closes the browser.

I have Dolphin HD running on Vegan 5.1.1 and when I try to click on a PDF, a pop to the pdf file so I can download it opens up. Then it opens up as normal. So no issues for me. Are you using the stock browser?

I am using the stock browser. Any thoughts on what would be an improvement? I am running tnt 4.2 but haven't changed browser or file manager or much else.

I would definitely ditch the stock browser. Dolphin HD, Xscope etc are better browsers. They render pages faster IMO. I've had issues with the stock TnT browser with force closes but mostly with heavy flash sites like ESPN.

Also, are you running Tnt 4.2 or 4.2.3? I think installing the supplement is worth it. It upgrades the drivers and installs the rotating google maps. I think that's sweet. I installed the supplement for Vegan which actually came from Roebeet which he ported from his TnT rom to Vega.

For a file manager, I use Linda File Manager or Astro. I honestly don't remember TnT's file manager. I think if it can install APKs then it should be good enough but I'm so used to Linda File manager I use it on both of my Android devices.

I think I'll give Dolphin a go tonight. I couldn't tell if 4.2.3 was worth it so I skipped it. Maybe I'll toss that on too and see what I've got. Do you need to wipe all of your cache and personal files like the first load of 4.2?

Supplemental updates, you normally don't but back up ur base rom first just in case.

I used Clockwork for the first installs so if I recall right I can backup using that and be good to go! Thanks.

Exactamundo! It's a good idea to back your system up when installing something that messes with your system files. I always do a back up if I see that my Gtab is running smoothly and I'm about to install an app or ROM update that I'm not too sure of.

Get to know Clockwork, Titanium back up and later if you want to...learn about root explorer and terminal emulator.

I loaded the updated tnt and Dolphin. Much better than the standard browser. Now the pdf files at least say they are loading or saving rather than force closing the browser. Lots of nice features in Dolphin. Thanks XMR
