I don’t think we needed THAT much confirmation, but here it goes anyway: Engadget’s saying that you can definitely expect to see the Samsung Galaxy S2 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 when Samsung unveils it at their Mobile World Congress event tomorrow. The Galaxy Tab 2 will indeed be a 10 inch tablet and [...]

as i've said to a colleague at work if Samsung has steered clear of the plastic on the SG2 then they are onto a winner, if they havent then i'm not interested.

My major two gripes with the galaxy..its camera and build, it appears samsung have come to their sense in the camera department lets hope the rest fits.!

Here we are go

Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy Tab 10.1″ officially pictured - SlashGear

The Galaxy S II also gets a 1GHz dual-core processor, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 + HS, HSPA+ and all in a 116g, 8.49mm-thick chassis. The 8-megapixel camera can shoot Full HD, and there’s either 16GB or 32GB of storage and the ability to stream content to a nearby HDTV via DLNA. Apps include an updated version of TouchWiz, along with a Readers Hub, Social Hub, Games Hub and Music Hub.

As for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1″, that runs Honeycomb and, since it’s a Google Experience device, Samsung’s TouchWiz UI isn’t loaded. It can also record Full HD video, and it has dual surround speakers. We’ll be checking out both devices at Samsung’s press event at MWC 2011 later today

Shipped with 2.3(?) when everyone else's comparable models will be shipping 2.4 or some 3.0 variant. Though you'll be promised a very short update time frame by the sales droid, the upgrade to the next OS version along with the inevitable gps fix won't come for a year if ever. Sometime after the Galaxy S3 is available. Great hardware, lousy support. If the Who's "We won't get fooled again" isn't playing in your head when you see the Galaxy S2, you're probably not paying attention.

I was with you upto GPS? ? we don't know if there is a problem with the GPS on SGS2. What are you talking about?

Or are you just trying to be funny?

Ok...which carrier is getting this phone and when? Thank you Samsung for putting another dual core in a phone right now.

But...like with the Galaxy S line or just Samsung phones in general....I need to find out a few more things before I will even consider this phone..

Gotta give it to Samsung, they always seem to stay one step ahead with the specs.

What are you agreeing with exactly? all the phones announced recently say they come with 2.3, 2.4 itself has only just been announced and should be released in April and 3.0 is for tablets.

Support for the Galaxy S (the international version) has been great, sucks to be from the US I guess as they are getting shafted but I guess that's what happens when you have to make a custom version of the phone for every carrier. :D

I am agreeing with what pastafarian wrote. I thought that would be straight forward dude.

but he wrote all the incorrect information! 2.4 HAS NOT BEEN ANNOUNCED yet, and 3.0 is ONLY FOR TABLETS, so, wtf?

also, assuming sgs2 will have gps issues (like SOME original galaxies had) is just totally baseless. they are using all the new chips and everything, chances for them also being affected are very slim.

to me, sgs2 seems like THE android phone for at least until holiday season.

exynos might not be as powerful as tegra2, but it seems to be more energy efficient (don't know where i read it), and the difference is non-existant as there is not one application to push the limits. exynos will be more than enough powerful to smoothly run any game/application that comes in the next two years.

battery is 1650, as opposed to everybody else who still goes with 1500.

screen now finally has the real, native 800x480 resolution. i do not believe nHD is so much sharper for normal everyday usage, unless you look with the magnifying glass.

form factor is amazing. thin, light, and well built. just 2mm wider and taller than sgs, but with 0.3 inches more screen real estate.

etc..

no point in continuing. even eldar murtazin says it will be the best smartphone for the time being.

2.4 HAS been announced and before you wrote this post. All you seem to be saying is that the SGS2 is going to be the best phone out there. Thats a very subjective view with very little insider knowledge to back up a weak argument. You stated 'exynos will be more than enough powerful to smoothly run any game/application that comes in the next two years' thats a very wild statement to make. As we all know 6 months is a long time in itself when it comes to smartphones so 2 years will be an eternity. However, if eldar murtazin (whoever the feck he is) says so then hold the press, its got to be true.

PS If its more efficient, why the need for an increase in power on the battery? Yeh it would be great to last a couple of days but if its as efficient as you claim then would it not stand to reason that a lower battery would suffice?

You get more, you demand even more than you expected. For example, if you have a bigger screen so you want to watch more movies because it is more comfortable.
