I installed EB01 Superclean and now my exchange email won't work. It says that my exchange server requires a security feature that is not supported by my device. It worked prior when I had DL09. Any ideas on how to get this working? The server requires encryption of data and I think that's what it's saying it doesn't support.

I had no issues upgrading to EB01 SC2.2 Voodoo...what version of Exchange is your company on?

Interesting. Maybe its the different exchange server builds. I believe we use 2003 exchange server, and its probably a custom build too, the corp i work for is unfathomably ginourmous, all our windows platforms, etc are custom builds.
I think it does have something to do with the extra security feature that the OP mentioned.
On my phone, when i power it on, i have to enter a password (setup when i setup the email) before i can get past the "emergency calls" only lock screen....does anyone else have to do this on their exchange email?

Nope....it's got to be a custom setup on your Exchange server, although I don't believe that's something that 2003 supports. Possible Exchange 2010?

the new Froyo email app works with the new Administrator policies that can be enforced on a mobile

Android 2.2 Platform Highlights | Android Developers

read up!

here's my problem with it. our sys admin has it enabled, but he is cool and has not flipped the switch on any of the rather oppressive ones, like they can disable text messaging or disable mobile web service on your handset from the system.....when you allow it to have administrative rights you are allowing the sys admin nearly complete control over your handset

which is fine if you have a company provided cell, lots of people get issues company DroidX's and other Android devices, we have a progressive company and they dropped Blackberry which is good....in some ways

but what about people like me who already owned their own Android device but want to be able to use Exchange mail? I have to give the company sys admin the same credentials to my phone as to the company owned ones, so if he were to enforce lets say, not allowing texting company wide.....my texting gets nuked until i remove the Exchange account.....

they can lock your device or even remote wipe it too......

at least thats the way i understand it
