I'm currently in Afghanistan and I was playing around with the new blockbuster app. I updated my EVO after having to take a trip to Iraq in December and I used the awesome internet at the USO to download the updates to the EVO. My phone has not seen a CDMA tower since September 2010. Anyway, after messing with some of the settings associated with the blockbuster app my phone lost a lot of juice putting the app in offline mode. I think the app was trying to send/receive data although there wasn't any wifi connection access. The drop happened pretty much over night. The blockbuster app is an app to watch out for. Other than that, despite the new download I still lose about 1% of battery life an hour with the phone while it sits in idle mode and in my desk draw.

i dont have the app on my phone anymore but from what i remember you need to go into the blockbuster app settings and look for something that says updating movie library or something to that effect. Its trying to update and set up like on default when you open it up for the first time. Im sure someone that still has it on their phone will come along and tell you exactly what it is if you havent found it.

I think I was playing with the settings and left it setup to where it thought the app could send/receive data. The problem may be the Schedule Movie Update Service. Its just a setting people need to watch. Or I probably didn't place the app back in offline mode status and forgot to close out of the app using the back button. That's why I love this phone...simple fixes to simple minor problems. If you want to call it a problem.
