I am able to use Bootstrap fine.

I don't use the power button though, just the camera button.

Did you try uninstalling Bootstrap first and then re-installing before that??

Welp.. I forward all calls through my DX. I own my business, right? So, I flash a fresh 1.4 after doing a reset as I had conflict issues after several layers of installs. Fine. So, I'm in with a client and the default ringer goes off, right? It's some heavy metal rock-ish tune.

So, in shock, in the middle of my session I stare at .... my phone? Yes, my phone embarrasses me with this ringtone.

Don't get me wrong.. I love this rom. It really is the best one out there, imo. Except WHEN IT EMBARRASSES ME!

I think you should incorporate what JRummy/kejar did for their Liberty ROM where whenever ANY music player is going, it has the music controls on the lockscreen. I like MusicMod, but I much prefer PlayerPro, and the lockscreen controls from Liberty ruled for it instead of having to deal with the two lockscreen problem that Android always has.

Ha! That's great! Story I mean, not that it was embarrassing. Be glass it wasn't 50 cent or somethin' like that.

That happens to me when I flash a new rom. Try making sure you have su rights on DX Bootstrapper and Rom Mgr. I've entered recovery every way. Works fine for me.

I think i may have encountered a pretty big bug in apex 1.4
how many of you are able to boot into recovery???
through Droid X Bootstrap?
through clockworkmod
through volume button down while holding power button?
i cannot boot into recovery to back up the rom,
anyone else experience this?
i think its the only bug i have seen so far but maybe its my downloaded file.

done it a few times for the circular battery and the boot animation. Speaking of which, now that I have the boot animation with sound, not sure I like it, how do I change/get rid of it?

I unzip the theme I'm going to use, then remove the apps. After that you zip the file and install (I leave all the framework alone and anything else that you are unsure of)

WOW, this looks scary to me! Do you delete the entire apps folder in the system folder, or each one individually?

Void: If you read up ^^^^^ you'll find that I had to do the same thing for other reasons. A clean install is like getting rid of the garbage.

Have a few questions.
1) If i created a backup thru bootstrap recovery of another rom can i just restore that rom thru bootstrap and thats it?
2) If i want to install ADW EX on apex 1.4 should i uninstall ADW 1st?
3) Will Root explorer allow me to uninstall unwanted programs such as need for speed (did not see this one in toolbox).
4) How do you create a backup of your stock systems (After SBF) if you have to be rooted to give Bootstrap SU access?
5) What blur gallery the default gallery on apex 1.4?
6) When i flashed this rom all my apps started poping up on my phone. I recently installed appbrain and backed up my apps i was wondering if this occured because of appbrain or if this was just a android market function. (i cleared devk cache)
7) i came from liberty and have the liberty logo when the phone starts then switches to apex logo. Wondering how i would get rid of the liberty logo.

after work - I'm usually at around 70-80% being that I don't use my phone all that much..today, I was at 40%..odd for sure.

One of the features of 1.4.0 is a new ringtone and notifications. I upgraded from 1.3.1 and have none of this.

I am experiencing the opposite. Got home from work today and still had 70% left on the battery...And I putzed around all day on the phone.

Because you already had ones set. Anyways, the ringtone is called 'Enter the Nexus' and the notification is 'Vega'
