Welcome to the Google's idea of freeware aka adware. Now if you are talking about the ads on apps then download adfree or you can just manually update the hosts file and never deal with these BS.

If you are talking about advertising in free apps, I dont mind it at all. Its only a very small portion of the app, and never pop ups like the web on your pc. Very minimal IMO, and well worth it to be able to get many apps for free.

Have you tried to play free game? How do you like the game with ads on it dude? Annoying huh? Get used to it as you folks empowered them. Far as freeware goes we been had port packages long before Google started to emulate the whole OSP varient from our *nix world. Adware is adware regardless of any narrow minded Google fanboys says. Now I understand developers should take control and cut out POS Google. I mean WTF is Google to cry about app sales being down last month? This whole BS about being free thing makes me sick as I been in UNIX/Linux world for over 12+ years, this whole thing is a big scam of Google's data retention project for Googleware supported by No Such Agency if you know what I'm saying now now don't call me crazy lol as when you realize it you will agree with me even if you have half of the brain.

Well, you kind of insulted him there with the half a brain comment. However, I do agree that Google's using their resources to their advantage and playing it out to be them giving to us for free. But in all honestly, the ads can be blocked using adfree, or I use Droidwall to limit what apps access the internet.
This thread is really going nowhere fast. So imma sum up:
1) Buy apps when you can
2) Block ads if you cant buy and absolutely cant deal with them
3) DroidWall is a nice program
4) Hosts files can be helpful too
Am I only one who doesn't mind internet data connection being turned off while playing games or using non internet apps? That solves offline games problem. How many damn important-can't miss emails you get when you are spending time playing games? So forget internet for a while!!
So turn off data connection and play games without ads.
(I don't use 3g for now, so we can turn off 3g data connection as well, right?)
I am listening and will check out and try all suggestions after a few days of letting this thread run.
I don't mind the advertising for the apps that I haven't paid for. I think that is fair enough. I have paid for a lot of apps and don't have trouble with them and I will continue to buy more as time goes on.
I paid for my phone and I pay Sprint monthly for the use of it and the OS is part of the deal and I don't expect to see anybody's crummy adds anyplace on my phone except when I run free apps. I am mad as h--- and I would like not to take it anymore and I should not have to root my phone to accomplish that... So I will be trying all suggestions that I read herein.
Thank you everybody for every legitimate suggestion and for all comments related to the subject.

You could always add the app to a Tasker profile, so that when you start the game it switches off your data, then turns it on again when you've finished
