Anyone else worried about backorders?

Hopefully they learned! That's a whole month of my life I can never get back. Horrible memories...refresh...refresh...refresh! Oh, and the FedEx trick! LOL!

But it was fun in the asylum wasn't it. The kittens i regret though.....

And no, while i wish this phone was amoled or samoled it is not, meaning not from samsung. Sony does the slcd's.... (which the EVO had i think) I'm not familiar with whatever happened with the evo though, guess it all depends on how well it sells. I'm sure the evo people didn't experience anything near what us incredible users went through. (i had a different username when i was in that thread:D)

nope, I was the first one to pre-order at my BB, so I have no worries lol, yeah hopefully the ones that did not pre-order, don`t run into the same issue with the Droid Inc. when it came out. I know there was a suppose of shortage of amoled displays for that, and I know the TB doesn`t have a amoled, but you never know with these manufacturers, I`ll say a prayer for all of the people that didn`t pre-order:D

Why be worried???? Its just a cellphone. If you have to wait an extra month..wait an extra month. Its not like this phone is going to make or break your life.

Ah but i'm rather sure you didn't have to wait a month to receive an incredible did ya?
The reason i ask is you still have to pay for it when you order. So you're out 200+ dollars, in the incredibles case we were told it would ship by x date, then the next day the ship date changed, then it changed again, and again. Some actually got their phones in 2 weeks, some were told 2 weeks and it was over 4. I remember the OP from the 'date you ordered/date received' thread, it had well over 10,000 replies, hundreds of different users, and a sh*t ton of frustrated people. Hell i had 300 posts in that thread alone.

It doesn't matter if its a phone, car, new tv, computer, clothes you ordered from 7th avenue, or something ordered from amazon. You order something, you spend your money on it, and you want it in a timely manner.

Which is worse? Ordering and not getting it until later? Or my situation, I ordered it, got it in the mail, it would not charge. Had to RMA the damned thing, they sent out another one and when I got it, it would not activate because they sent me SOMEONE ELSE'S PHONE. They couldn't change the ESN on my account to the one on the phone because it was tied up on another account, so I had to once again RMA it and wait. You better believe they sent it overnight and Saturday delivery I was hot! And it only took 3 weeks to get it all right (had to move my line to a dumbphone while I was in the middle of RMAing them each time... AND they retroactively charged me for the data I used on my Eris during the first half of the billing cycle because of the switch back to dumbphone). It all got sorted in the end though because I got my Inc FREE and 2 months of data credited (the phone was free because VZW messed up and thought I was actually returning the phone and not RMAing it... thus crediting it back to my account which was where I had it charged to begin with. Life was good when I found that out :) )

Damn player, that is rough. A free incredible though, meh, that would be a tough call, have the aggravation or get my $200 back....

I'm gonna try the same thing I did with the Incredible. I walked into the store and found they were open for 2 hours before I got there and only two people in line and got one on launch day. I have the benefit of having two stores within two blocks of each other. One store people hardly know about. I was the first one to buy a Samsung Tab on launch day since this store opened two hours before every other store in Va. I hope my luck holds out for the Thunderbolt.
