Root [ROM] ApeX V1.4.1 for Droid X & Droid 2 - Refinement and Ease of Use (2/22/2011)

Using LPP w/scrolling widgets.
Launcher x pro w/scrolling widgets.
Other widgets.

Issue: Widgets won't load upon boot. Problem got worse and worse. Waited up to 20 minutes before rebooting.

What I tried:

Factory data reset.
SBF and a fresh install.
Boot script overwritten from toolbox.

Nothing worked.

Back on 1.3.1 until I can get issue resolved because phone is unusable, otherwise.

Any ideas?

I noticed this too, but it only did it during the first 3-4 reboots, it hasn't it done it since.....don't know if it will happen again though

I dont really have any ideas for you, but all of my LPP scrolling widgets (and other widgets) work perfectly...
loading on boot and scrolling/updating like they should

Ok.. how did you load them. Did you do a fresh install or a Tibu restoration? (I did the latter.). I'm looking for the key here. tia.

Mine got worse as I went. Back on 1.3.1 and will try again.

2 things...
1) anyone know the name of the apk to remove to get rid of NFS Shift? I dont see it in the system/app list
2) there shouldnt be any harm in deleting ADW if im running launcherpro right?

1) If your using TiBu you can remove it that way.
2) You can remove it, I prefer to freeze it in titanium so that I can restore it if I need to remove LPP and install it again to fix funky issues. (I have had to do this in the past)

I loaded up LPP and had no trouble with scrolling widgets. I did a fresh install of everything though. I have since uninstalled LPP, as I get a litter better performance with ADW.

Perhaps I have too much going on on my launcher. I've rebuilt my version of 1.3.1 with nexolution and backed it up. Now I'm reloading 1.4.0 and will go with GoLauncher with fewer scrolling widgets. I hope that works.

If Fab wants to weigh in on this, that'd be fabulous! ;)

I had to ditch Go Launcher because each time I rebooted, my Widgets would randomly appear on different screens behind other widgets. I'm using ADW EX without any issue. Scrolling Widgets work fine.

I am using LPP and had to remove my widgetsand readd them when I reinstalled LPP and restored my Home Screen Settings. But it tells you that it won't be able to restore widgets when you first back up your LPP Settings under preferences.

I dont use TiBu though. thats why I was wondering what the apk was called

also, for anyone not being able to uninstall apk's from the toolbox.... They ARE case sensitive I believe. madden.apk wouldnt work but Madden.apk worked
