I know what bit, byte means and that bit is still in use for data speed. But for the size of memory or storage in computing devices, it's very rarely used these days as we are talking about big memories like Giga bytes. I don't know if that's what the spec on Optimus 3D really means, but I have never seen any other manufacturer used bits to represent the size of memory in their phone. It's just misleading and adding to confusion for consumers. So why would LG do that?

Optimus 3D looks like the performance king for now until finished SGS2 with Exynos chip shows stronger muscle or Tegra 3 based phone comes.

Does anyone know if this phone is GSM or CDMA and which carrier is getting it first in the U.S? Some speculate that Sprint's EVO 3D that will be unveiled later this month is it, but I'm not sure of it. 3D part of it surely sounds like it's LG, but isn't EVO name exclusive to HTC?

Quite impressive then. Which do you think is best, Tegra 2 is this?

The benchmarks speak for themselves but the dev support and release date are in favour of the Tegra 2.
For most people I would say it's "Which device?" as opposed to "Which chip?". It' would be grate if we could "pick 'n' mix".:D Are you due an up-grade? :)

No, it will be my first step to a smart phone. I still have an N95, so only make calls+texts, but want the latest android phone and I'm prepared to wait.

I will probably buy one sim-free, then go on a sim only contract with Vodafone or the 3 Network. Vodafone are offering a good cashback deal at the moment.

I would buy on contract, I don't mind, but which ever is more cost effective really.

I'm thinking of the 3D over the 2X, which I know you are getting. The costs seem to be slightly more, but I'm fine with that. Can't be bothered to wait for the Galaxy S2 (if it is May/June). And I don't want an iphone like everyone else!

Good to know. I'm actually not feeling any Motorola phones this year and something from them that might be worth waiting for might not come until after summer.

Might have to give Samsung or LG a spin. Someone in the comments was comparing the 3D between it and the EVO 3D and said it looks better on the LG. It should....they make those TV's..lol

Yeah, it seems like Motorola is getting behind the curve these days. They put out Atrix only which is hardly enough to fight these beasts from Samsung, LG and much hyped Bionic is delayed with no firm date known.

But for us on Verizon, chances of getting phones like this is very slim this year unfortunately. The way they are handling new android phones this year is quite frustrating and pathetic. I will give them until early Fall for new phones but I might switch to T-mobile or Sprint.
