Galaxy S2..should i wait

I really need to move to my first smartphone, as my Dell Axim x51v is kind of dying....

How long will the S2 take to get to market you think? sound awesome with expansion slot...

Is there HDMI ouput? Really want to stream blu-ray movie via phone to Hi Def TV...now that is awesome....

Looking for my first smartphone, and was going to jump to captivate...

Now the news is the S2 is going to launch with impressive specs.....

Should i wait you think?

I think it is definitely worth waiting for SGS2. It is scheduled to be released in Q2.

Yes, it's worth waiting for but I will check full reviews before buying the phone, it's been suggested it can do HDMI out via the microusb slot, also want to know if it has an FM Radio and recent benchmarks show low performance vs some tegra 2 devices which Samsung need to address.

If it's 5x faster the PowerVR chip as they claim it should be far ahead of tegra 2.

Well my Galaxy S has FM Radio so I assume the S2 should as well.

Second of all, the Samsung Galaxy S2 ROM is nowhere near finished and not in ready to release state so wait for the true benchmarks.

I'm in the market for a first smartphone as well. I was planning on picking up the Optimus 2X, but now that they've announced this...I'm not sure. The main reason I want the S2 more is the screen.

iPad? Seriously?

lol My mate got this Zenithink epad off ebay for around $240 AU compared to around $600 for an iPad.

It's got android, wifi, bluetooth, USB, OTG, HDMI, microSD, 10" 16x9 screen, 512MB RAM, 1Ghz CPU.

I had a go at it, and it kills the iPad in my opinion.

I have an i8910 with HX-V11 firmware, Nokia apps don't work too well on it, some don't even install. It was the most badly supported smartphone of it's time. No app store to speak of, the PC suite was intended only for winXP, and when u tried to update the firmware it said the phone was not recognised, lol. Had it for 8 months, then the galaxy s came out with no flash and only a 5MP cam, so I'm waiting for the SGS2 it's only another 3 months at least..
