Root Microbes Live Wallpaper question

Okay, I love the Microbes LWP and it looks quite nifty on my Fascinate... initially. After its been running for a while and I've opened and closed several apps and gone about my day, the smokey, swirling background begins looking rather choppy, though the microbes' movement remains smooth as can be. Has anybody else noticed this? The only way I can find to restore it back to its buttery smoothness is to re-apply the wallpaper but that's really more of a pain in the ass than its worth so I usually stick to a static wallpaper. Has anyone found a consistent fix for this?

I'm currently on EB01 stock and it works just the same as it did on DJ05. Still haven't found a solution to the problem, I've just given up on using a LWP due to the lack of general smoothness that comes with having it running.

Edit: I didn't flash it on EB01, I flashed it while using DJ05, I restored it on EB01 using Titanium, don't know if that makes a difference.
