Okay, each time I send a text message, I receive it, but can only see it on the notification or quick reply(handcent). I even checked the stock messaging app, I only see the messages I sent. I'm rooted on 2.2.1 via SuperOneClick and am using Velocity 1.0. Help? Am I the only one? :(

Have you tried booting into a bootloader and wiping your cache and dalvik cache? Not sure if that would help. Another idea would be to do a factory reset from the settings menu after backing up any data on your phone. If that still fails i would try reflashing velocity, making sure to wipe all user data and dalvik cache.

I actually solved my problem. I was told you could freeze the stock messaging app if you use a different sms messenger(I.e. Handcent), but you can't because you can't see the received messages.

I 've the same problem on my unrooted Samsung GS2 where in i can only read the incoming text messages in the notifications or GO SMS Pro pop-up. How did you fix your problem?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks much

Hi, I had that problem too but I'm not sure if it's the same problem as yours because I don't have any 3rd party SMS apps installed and my Galaxy Note is rooted. Anyway, before I've found out the solution I noticed that my date is not right. It was on 01/01/2000. So what I did was just setting it back to the current date. Also the time, don't forget the time. And that's all there is to it. This is what fixed it.

This might be too late for you but I just want to help anyone who is facing this problem right now. So this message goes to all of you.
